Why do car companies have to make hybrid or hydrogen cars look so ugly.

 

I really don't like the taillights of the "New" Prius. It's like whoever designed this car was high on drugs or something...

That's because they usually go for a not so attractive wedge shape in order to optimize aerodynamics, and then try to disguise it with a handful of ehy-look-at-me-I'm-from-the-future overstyled details.

It looks good to most, it just isn't a supercar like most other cars designed by pininfarina (the designer of the 205, that usually does ferraris and other supercars)
