Stupid question but will there ever be a "demo" version with only one config, just to see how the bike is controlled and handles, just to see if the mod is worth it
Actually I am working on a bicycle, yes. But this is even less possible as a demo, because is more complex than a motorcycle. Why? Because the rider needs to turn the pedals! Do you ever imagine what an effort is to make a couple of pedals turn and legs and feet follow the movement in a realistic way? Everything aligned with the actual speed of the bicycle? I think no. Related to the motorcycle again people here does not know which is the complexity behind it. It is not the color of the plastics, the textures or multiple engines ... it is the steering algorithm and front suspension with telescopic sliders. A bike without steering algorithm won't stay up, and without suspension would not absorb forces in curves, then it would be a counterproductive demo. The demo are the videos I have posted: steering wheel + hours of practice and those performances will be what you get. T.
Would be cool to have a bicycle in game, with a physically simulated chain drive and transmission, actually 2 transmissions with the front being high-mid-low range and the rear as a normal one with like 7-9 speeds, realistic torque applied on the pedals and going to the rear wheel through the chain like the tracks on tank mods, animated dummy for weight balance, and also realistic dynamo lights and those flashing night lights with various patterns, and many customization options for frame type, tires, seat and wheel height, various attachments like baskets, water bottle holders, pump holders etc. And of course the bicycle bell as a horn. That would be a really cool mod. Could also have skins like those "sport" city bikes that are completely covered with the names of all the brands that made every single separate part, or a more normal one with just the brand and model name on the side.
I plan to make the following: - one MTB and one Road bike - front and back suspensions for the MTB, front one using telescopic structure I implemented for the motorcycles - several detaching parts when crashing - the Road bike will have fixed gear, then it is more an oval race bike - turning pedals and moving chain like tank tracks - Dummy adapted to move legs and feet with pedals - standing and sitting position for Dummy, to afford climbs - crouching position for Dummy for speeding and to pop wheelies - no lights, maybe in future the rear flashing light for evening rides - no gears possible due to the already complex moving chain...
