Re: [MAP]moutain route Giggity But seriously, the world would be a very different place had people followed that
Re: [MAP]moutain route It looks like a good map, yes, but you shouldn't have stolen it. You could have just asked your parents and done some work around the house for it if you're under 18.
RIGHT firstly id like to say that i also downloaded the game and cracked it (for 3 day) as i was waiting to be payed so have a go at me all you want the simple fact is that piracy happens but there are some of us that only do it as a temporary precaution as you can see i have brought the game and as soon as i have spare money i will be donating (after iv built my £800 pc) as the developers of this game deserve the money but all you having ago at him will probably mean that he thinks f*** it and wont buy it as the community have been A**h**** to him and tbh i wouldn't blame him BACK ON TOPIC nice map hope you do upload links when you have brought the game
It seriously annoys me how easy it is to pirate things. There's no difference between pirating a game online going into a store and stealing a CD copy of a game. The only difference is that pirating it online is easier. Also, please read the large bolded guidelines up top before you post:
There's a major difference: loss. If I were to pirate drive (lmao...wording) the dev team doesn't lose a thing. Had I walked into a gamestore and taken the copy the gamestore already purchased then yes... there's a loss. It could be argued that there's a loss if I were to download a demo from the official source then cracked it as I used their bandwidth but that's extremely negligible. Please explain if you disagree with this... otherwise join the RIAA in magic number generation.
I agree, this is the biggest difference, and piracy is hard to quantify because a copy pirated isn't always a copy sold. With that said, BUMP
That's where you are wrong, if say 15000 users were to pirate the game, then there is a 15000*Retail value revenue loss ($225000). It doesn't matter if some of those who pirated it were not going to buy the game in the first place, because they are still using the product without paying for it. For a small company like Beam, $225000 is a huge loss of income that will have been used to develop the game even further and maybe hired more people for a faster development progress. Saying that piracy doesn't cause the developers to lose anything is outright a lie. (Obviously you have bought the game and I'm not accusing you directly, but that mentality is what is destroying the current music/movie/gaming franchise.) Given that the developers do have a free to play demo of the game, which literally covers all the aspects of the game without modding or map making, where the piracy in this case only covers the part of the game considered to be for the generally more interested user, only parts of this arguments stands. But the fact still remains that the users who have pirated the game are users that do not pay for what they are playing, regardless of their pre-pirating choices.
It's ok . I won't bash you but please don't bump . It's okay for me but many people find it annoying .
