You know when you are trying to look at the engine of say, BKL MAZ 535. So to look at it you pull the hood off and having to reset it all the time. Well what I'd like to do is get the cars to have a hydlaric hood and probably trunk/hatch to look at the engine and load... ...uh... ... small stuff. I think this would be a great idea. How about you?

I think there should be a button to lock and unlock the hood/trunk and you use the node grabber to open/close. ETC unlock hood. pulls hood open, locks it open.

The node grabbing is a great feature but a bit destructive as you have to break the latch to open the door. So after that the doors are pretty deformed already.
Indeed having a special function to open all the doors of the car would be great.

What is nice with the grabbing is also that you can almost restore the door to its original shape, if you try carefully (but you can't replace the broken glass :p)

How about just a button that moves the trunk/hatch or hood open automatically?

That works, but why limit it to just the hood and the trunk? Maybe doors, and later even sunroofs.

Yeah, we could try doing that. The doors would prevent a roll and just for fun.

Why would you keep your doors open just to prevent a roll? even if you did there would be decreased balance in the cars weight distribution and that would make the vehicle roll even easier...

I said we could also do this for fun. Like putting a box in a trunk.

I remember Rigs of Rods used to have hydros that were connected to nodes and the hydro beam would expand and contract at the push of a function key

I've tried making the D15 have a moving tailgate...
It was a fail only because I was a N00B
