Hey, I recently found out something that I didn't know before, but it simplified a lot of things for me. I don't know if this is already known or explained in some tutorial. It's about moving or rotating objects by an exact specification. Let's say I want to copy this cone and place it exactly 0.87cm next to the first one. Before, I always calculated this with a calculator and then entered the value into “position”. In this example: Y-Axis: -889,746 - 0.87 = -890,616 But you can skip this step by entering the formula directly into the corresponding "Position" field. Press CTRL+D to duplicate your object... Then click in the "Position" field...add -0.87 at the end...and press ENTER. Now the object has been moved exactly 0.87cm. This also works for rotation and scale! You can use + , - , * and / I didn't want to withhold this knowledge from you. Have fun! MysteryManGer
Thats such an awesome trick. There have been plenty of times where this would have saved me a bit of time for sure. I would either use a calculator or over engineer some object-to-spline setup. Thanks for the tip!
I have a map with. Scale different to 1 so I assume I have to multiply by the scale too. 889,746 - (0.87 * scale)
