This is why when you start a manual, you do it in neutral and hold the clutch

Have you made any progress on this truck?

Also, heres a truck a guy on another forum I'm on brought home last week.

71 K10, 350 4 speed 205. It had a dead cylinder when he got it. He pulled the 350 and 327 he had lying around in it.

It had brand new 31's on it, but 31's are small and boring, so he sold those and put some 35 inch BFG's on it.

    Then a 4 inch lift.

yes I looked at the starter its burnt out needs to be rewired. I looked at that website you said to look at I will be getting some stuff from them like some door seals. I found both high and low beams for it on eBay. but not much progress. but it wont be going fast because the truck needs a few things. also in a few days I will be testing the radio and the antenna just to see if they work.

also I found out the reason the Gear box is loose its because my father once when he was driving was speed shifting and he messed up the shifting because the reverse is on the top left of the gear box.

If you can't repair rust holes, them search for another project.
If you just change every rusted parts on this thing... Them I hope you have a lot of money to spend.
After I don't know much on American pickup, or parts prices, so yeah...
Aaaaaaand I don't think It's either a good idea to restaure a car with a manual gear box If you don't know how to use a manual gear box.

    ... Good luck!

quality parts from LMC Truck.....or you could just cut out the rust and weld new sheet metal in.
