    Hello all,

I did a detailed benchmark of how my system did back in February of last year. I have since updated my system some, and the game has been updated numerous times since then. I thought it would be very interesting to see the differences, and boy are they huge!

Perceived FPS Results (High, Low, Avg):
    --------------------------------------------------
    1 Car: 95, 72, 84
    2 Cars: 96, 70, 80
    3 Cars: 94, 68, 80
    4 Cars: 92, 64, 77
    5 Cars: 92, 60, 75
    6 Cars: 88, 50, 70
    7 Cars: 50, 25, 35
    8 Cars: 24, 17, 20
    --------------------------------------------------

    Old Benchmark:

    --------------------------------------------------

    Test Procedure:
    --------------------------------------------------
    Open Steam
    Open Beam.ng
    Start Raceway Map
    Drive to parking lot
Spawn cars in this order, white base models:
    Grand Marshal
    Burnside Special
    90s Pessima
    Moonhawk
    80s Pessima
    Roamer
    800 Series
    SBR4
Let Drive for 5 minutes with AI
    (Risk 1 Split Road Off)
    Reset if car crashed
    Close

Record percieved FPS values, measured temps/usages
    --------------------------------------------------

    Environment:
    --------------------------------------------------
    04/7/2017
    Beam.NG Version 0.8.0.1
    Ambient at Start: 22.5 C
    Ambient at End: 23.0 C
Well Cooled Corsair 350D (2 AF14s in the front)
    --------------------------------------------------

    System:
    --------------------------------------------------
    i7-3770 w/ Hyper 212 EVO @ 3.7 GHz (Boosted to 3.77 GHz)
Sapphire Nitro 390 @ 1040 MHz Core and 1500 MHz Memory
    16 GB Kingston Fury 1866 RAM @ 1600 MHz
    Corsair RM750x PSU
OS installed on Intel 520 SSD
    Beam.NG installed on WD 5.25" Black 1TB
    1080p Resolution
    --------------------------------------------------

As you can see my system is now able to run up to 6 cars with AI on this map with incredible results. This is a big upgrade from the past test where I was only able to get 4 cars running, and they didn't even run that well.

We know there have been lots of optimizations, and this is the main cause of the increase. It is very apparent as my CPU was bottlenecking my old, slower GPU at 4 cars before, and now doesn't bottleneck my GPU until 6.
This is also due to my CPU being held at 3.7 GHz all the time, whereas in the old test it would down-clock occasionally, and my much better graphics card which increased the low car count FPS.
It is also worth noting the game graphics settings were not kept the same, and are increased slightly.
