The mods I tend to build usually aren't intended to be standalone mods as much as they aim to extract more utility from existing mods. For example, the barge already had end couplers. All I did was add side couplers, boosted the thruster power, and added particle generators as landing lights. Very minor changes opened up a whole world of possibilities. Another example: The ME262 STOL conversion only adds 2 thrusters to an otherwise unmodified ME262, but that allows a wider range of takeoff and landing locations, including barge carriers.
Got a new lighting system for barge carriers. The light brightness, range, and flare size are all adjustable.
I'll post an update to this thread later. I have some homeowner stuff I have to do first... EDIT: An update with carrier landing lights has been uploaded to Naval Warfare post #72 (this thread).
Yeah, I got a little crazy with a new Fire mod I'm building, and I set my carrier on fire (video attached). Oops... The fire mod can also be used to set buildings on fire, or create a nice bonfire for your next beach party.
Yes you can! The fire is adjustable to some degree. The burn area is roughly circular. To set an aircraft cargo bay ablaze, you can use multiple fires. Set them to about the width of the cargo bay, and set up a line of them to engulf as much of the bay as desired. Also, you can trigger a temporary increase in the fire intensity, as if the fire found something very flammable (or explosive) and ate it.
You got it! That's exactly what it was supposed to represent. Carriers just don't look quite right without islands, and it's just handy to have a deck crane. Oh, we definitely set things on fire & blow stuff up here: ships, planes, etc... I think somebody built a submarine mod. I wonder if it has torpedoes... I wonder if the Crash Hard Explosive Barrel can be used as depth charges... I might have to tinker to give them the appropriate buoyancy, plus a depth-based detonation device. That sounds like something that I could roll up into a proper mod.
