I have to be honest, I like that Bel Air. Also, why do I feel like it gives me some sort of FnF vibe? From what I picked up from the trailer, it puts me in the mind of something you'd see Dominic Toretto and his family going through.
So, after all this, we have determined this is a big melting pot of games and movies about cars released within the last few years
The part with the semi was a vibe from the first Fast and Furious movie, the modifications is similar to The Crew Wild Run and the whole 3-main-character-setup is similar to GTA V.
-EA executives sit around a table- -*EA executive* we need a new game, what should we copy- -*Newb* I just finished a GTA game- -*EA executive* perfect, any more ideas?- -*Newb* I saw Fate of the Furious- -*EA executive* fantastic, now, what's a great name?- -*Newb* uhhhhhhhhh, how bout payback?- -*EA executive* I like that name so we'll build a trash story around it, and, where should we get our vehicals?- -*Newb* other games, of course- -*EA executive* sound about right, anything else this game needs- -*Newb* more Forza- *EA executive* yes, that's what we need, copy's from other driving games-
If you'd asked me back in 1994 if the NFS series would still be alive in 2017 I would've said hell no. At the time I would have imagined the awesomeness of Need For Speed 15 on some wildly powerful living room holodeck. I commend EA for sticking to the series and I can't really blame anyone involved for what the series is today. Life marches on and the dreaded 'marketing ghouls' have command of everything. We can hope and wish that the NFS series would remain as it was in the mid- nineties but reality is reality. It would be real nice if EA decided to release suite of tweaked re-masters of 1 thru 3 that simply pay a salute to the golden era with new high energy music, graphics and cars. No changes to track layout or game play elements. That being said, I honestly think if EA tried to emulate and release a new NFS using the old school theory it would be soundly panned as being 'shallow, weak and unimaginative"...."a totally lame cash grab that insults the intelligence of gamers worlwide". A nasty catch 22 in todays world.
starting this game will be like turning on your computer, then finding out someone cheesed your drive --- Post updated --- Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh So, you like to see them redo the old games, but you don't want them to release another game like the originals....
