So deleting the entire progress and starting over for the third time??? No way, if we keep going like this there will never be fully finished docs, and tbh idk how it's possible that some people don't understand the documentation if it's all written really clearly and with detail
AFAIK @TrackpadUser is the one developing the documentation, and he isn't (AFAIK again) doing anything other than that. He must be sad right now .
I think it probably would be a good idea to have the PBR status of levels displayed in the documentation in a similar fashion to how the PBR status of vehicles is displayed. As an aside, I notice that the page displaying the PBR status of vehicles seems to have been last updated on June 30, 2021. Is that information still current?
The documentation lists that there are 10285 Jbeam parts in game, but there are actually 10284 (checked in safe mode via the jbeamStats LUA extension). Is there some secret extra file or is that a typo?
That is outdated. Will look into it in the coming weeks. This data is collected automatically, could be an issue with the script, not sure.
in the vehicles section, (where all vehicles and types are displayed) wouldnt the autobello be a hatchback? and also, since the pigeon and wigeon have 4 wheeled variants, would be better to class it under: Trike/Quadricycle?
It was added after PBR update so obviously it's all PBR. It doesn't have a hatch (rear door leading to the inside of the car) but just a decklid (rear engine compartment door), therefore it's not a hatchback.
*showing a completely-oblivious-to-the-world-face, that only The Bob knows how to do best* You mean there's documentation on this thing??? *starts to back away from the modeling software / PC* Holy smokes - I should check the forums more often! There's actually useful stuff in here! NEAT! *camera slowly pans out revealing a house surrounding The Bob, that looks like it hasn't been dusted since the dawn of time, and a cat chowing down on what looks like something it's just caught, to survive off of for a while* Totally going to bookmark this thread. Thank-you to those who let me notice it even existing. Hooray for being able to do something besides repeatedly trying many different things to see what actually works. The last time I looked at documentation over a year ago there was almost nothing aside of a few long pages about the editor 2.0 that I was still hiding from. So thanks for making documentation about more things, including much I didn't know about. Technology is great, but if no one knows how to use it, it's not very useful. So having this, again, is awesome (sorry to repeat, but it's super-important we know how to use these things!). Many thanks! It's also doubly handy because for some reason (Alzheimer's coming early?) I absolutely can't remember anything anymore, aside of learned things that have become 2nd nature such as camera controls, car controls and so-forth.
Some vehicles years are wrong like for exp. Legran in documentation is 1984 - 1988 in game 1984 - 1993. Same goes to H-Series and Wendover.
This is a list of articles tagged with Spotlight. These exist for all game versions, topics, and tags that were used on the website. To get here you had to click on the tag, so I'm not sure why you are confused, it's self explanatory
I know what the spotlight means, i was just confused at why there was an entire page that just says “tag spotlight”
As a suggestion for the Official Content (vehicles) section, I think it could be neat to have a page for Remaster status for the different vehicles. It's great that older content is being reworked, and it would be nice if there was one page we could go to that summarized which vehicles have been remastered, ideally with links to their respective blog posts for more info.
This could certainly be interesting. Obviously we shouldn’t be able to use it to get insight on what vehicles they plan to do next, but you’re definitely right, it’s be nice to see what’s been done and released.
