WIP Beta released Nintendo Mario Kart 8 - Standard Kart

    I'm super close to done. At this point, I'm fine tuning.
    Problems left to remedy:
    • Jittery power delivery
    • Jittery suspension
    • Overpowered brakes
    And I still have to add:
    • Steering wheel prop
    • Rim material

    I know you've said that you can change the color, but will you (you being a random person) be able to make skins for the kart?

    Yes, the model is mapped and I have a lot of templates, but I can't for the life of me figure out the skinning system

    What have you done for the engine jbeam? What sort of specs does it have?

    Haha, I haven't calculated the torque curve yet. It's just a placeholder from the grand marshal. It's connected to an automatic 3 speed that powers the rear wheels only.

    I might be able to help set up some skins. No promises though. Once its released, ill see if I can add some skins.

    What kind of skins are you guys thinking of? I have already have skins for every character in the game.

    I was thinking just the paint scheme, but that would be cool too.

    I'm going to probably finish tomorrow, but if you're interested, here's the very incomplete version you can download now.
    Problems I'm aware of and will fix:
    • Camera is not quite centered
    • Poor brakes
    • Poor cornering at speed
    • Not super deformable
    If you don't see it in the vehicle selector, scroll all the way down. You can choose a more powerful engine in the parts selector. Make sure to select colors, or it will just appear a very shiny white.

    My first thought: Wow, this is cool.
    My second thought: This felt faster in Mario Kart.
    My third thought: This felt a lot easier to control in Mario Kart.

    Yeah :( Unfortunately it's really hard to tune suspension and tires for something with such a short wheelbase.

    Unfortunately, BeamNG can act weird if you make something that is outside of normal-car proportions.

    Well it worked at first but parts were missing so I cleared cache and now the whole body is missing XD It looked cool for the 5 seconds i saw it.

    Anyone know of any Mario Kart tracks on Beamng? Would be cool to tear it up around one in this. Also an idea I had although I don't know how plausible it would be. How about having a "mushroom" boost that gives a 2-3 seconds of extra speed?
