This looks like it’ll be an excellent mod…I only wish you were making the Terrano 2, as I have two of them myself!
Dont panic. Project is not died. On this moment IRL going on is very strange things (nothing serious i think). I'll be back to development in soon time.
Founded a very interesting thing. Two old version from Automation (technically - current version be started from it (from central version)). If anyone interested - I can describe a project history before I started the current version of this mod.
These are really well made Automation mods, for a second I couldn't tell which one of these was this mod
As promised - an approximate history of the project. The story is actually quite strange (especially in terms of software choice). It all started around August-September 2019 with my first attempt at making a model of a car in Google SketchUP - it was a Honda Today 85G. (opened in blender, SU is not installed on this moment) A couple of year later, around the beginning of August of 2020, I found some acceptable-quality drawings for Nissan Terrano and I thought - why not try to make it as high-quality as possible? And yes, it was SketchUP again (and with using some aligned photos). After a number of attempts, we managed to get a pretty good model (considering some aspects of SU). (IIRC rendered via V-Ray) After the finished exterior, I began to make the interior. But experience at that time was not enough for this. After several attempts and an attempt to change the software (to 3ds max), the model was abandoned for about half a year. At about the same time, I found AtCCTG, and one of the first replicas made there was Terrano (actually, there were two versions - the first was lost when reinstalling Windows, and the second was created after adding 3D mode to AtCCTG). (second version) At the beginning of May 2021, I started to learn AtCCTG modding and my first mod was a bus body (yes, quite a strange choice). After creating an Isuzu Erga replica based on it, I remembered the abandoned Terrano model. And after some tweaking, I converted it to AtCCTG . (Erga replica) The interior was made in 3ds max and also converted to AtCCTG . (Initial AtCCTG version) After, as it seemed to me, the final, I found Gavril Vertex and realized that this was not the final yet. After founding some documentations I started full rework of AtCCTG version...
So far you're doing a great job ! I'd love to test out this model I've recently started to like (Nissan Terrano) A few Months ago I went on a road trip with my Firefighting godfather to trade his Peugeot to a really bad shape Terrano 1. Since then, I wanted to do a mod myself for BeamNG but I lack the knowledge. Since Day one I've been watching closely your project and I can't wait for the day it's released. Keep up the good work.
Same, since i saw it in the begining, i open beamng siteevery day to see if there is news about it xD
Hopefully, we will get a preview of the mod soon I hope we're able to add the Cummins Engine and Magnaflow exhaust to it ! It'll make the car a beast
So, after some adjustments, I can post the first alpha version of this project. --------------------- THIS IS AN ALPHA VERSION, NOT EVERYTHING MAY WORK AS IT EXPECTED. LOADING MAY TAKE LONGER THAN STANDARD CARS. Some screenshots: JBEAM: Knowing issues: 1. To stressed suspension. 2. The attachment of the body to the frame is not perfect. 3. Unbreakable fuel tank. 4. The cardan shaft can breaks in the most unexpected cases. 5. The weight does not match the real one (on around 600kg). If you want to temporarily reduce it to real values: CTRL+E > Additional Modification > Reduce Weight to 1900kg (may cause instabilities in JBEAM). 6. Frame is non-collidable. 7. Unbreakable lights on A/J Limited bullbar. 8. In some places mesh is too high-poly. 9. Weird skin-UV map About all bugs, errors and incorrect work, write either to this thread or in my DM. What i planned to make next: Add visual part to engine tuning (new turbos, intercoolers an etc.) VG30E engine and sound rework for TD27T Reworked suspension, steering and frame LHD version Special thanks to: BeamNG Team - For base Legran and Roamer JBEAM ATV75 - for documentation, help with photos, consulting on technical issues and access to a real prototype. EJY - for early testing and original idea of porting this model to BeamNG. hyudin32 - for helping with the visual part of the original version (for AtCCTG). savav for advice on JBEAM and materials. mysterycat69 - help with glass and headlight textures.
