It was handed over to someone else to do, but he was banned, I think. I sadly don't have time to maintain the sheet anymore and no one else has volunteered to do so. However, if someone else if wanting to maintain it, I'll gladly grant access to edit it.
Ill be down to atleast update it with all the newest lap times, I find this challenge pretty interesting and I have some free time
Did some more silly laps around the Nürburgring. Gavril Phanta 5.1 P5 Deluxe Mod - Extra modded config - Default tune Time: 10:16.213 And I also tried to tow an AI driven unpowered Sunburst. Gavril D15 V8 Roadsport Vanilla - Custom config - Default tune towing a Hirochi Sunburst 2.0 Sport RS AWD Vanilla - Custom config - Custom tune Time: 14:21.027 The only modifications to the cars were: added a tow hitch on the D-Series, removed halfshafts from the Sunburst, removed all fuel from the sunburst. Sadly the AI stops working at the beginning of the final long straight.
I made a simple scenario inspired by this challenge. It's very barebones but the idea is to hit certain times to progress to the next stage and different car. Works with custom configs so can set your own times and vehicles to change or add stages. I think it could be fun to take some configs and times from this thread to use as stages to beat. Medal system is like Trackmania. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Author. To make new stages pick a car model and config, set known best time as the author medal time and give the other medals some easier to beat times. Right now the included configs and times for stages might not be the best so I encourage you to use your own for the best experience. If there's interest I might add a simple time validation system to be able to generate medal times for stages by playing instead of manually entering them. You can find it on my github both in zip and unpacked format: https://github.com/r3eckon/BNG-NordschleifeRaceWeek Note that I've only tested this on a single computer and I'm not sure if there were updates to the map that might break this mod since I got a version with a 2021 timestamp so if things don't work on your end let me know and I'll take a look.
Decided to have some fun with the Skoda 1203 mod and did a lap in the Hearse config. BTW, no idea why parts of it stutter like hell, must be something with my OBS config.
Playing on keyboard makes racing fast cars quite the challenge, but oddball cars are their own kind of fun I see the DT40L isn't on the leaderboard yet, so I raced it and got a time of 13:59:523 with the stock highway config. Sliding through the corners is oddly fun but if you time it wrong it will understeer and/or lose a bunch of speed, so I ripped the bumper off on the first few runs . Its weight also makes it quite susceptible to hills, I hit 98mph on the longest downhill but another time could only go 29 in a straight line.
I'm a noob using a controller (MSI Force GC30 V2) and it took me a few attempts to reach this not perfect at all recording, except the first lap with the car, that went perfect without any crashes or accidental cut corners in freeroam without recording. :') The car is a Emerald Green FWD Vivace Arsenic 2.0 Turbo tuned to 643hp that I like to call Green Hell, and was inspired by bizz_r_cupra a 620hp Leon Cupra that was driven by Misha Charoudin on one of his videos.
I don't see many people using the Sunburst here, and I understand you, it took me arround 80km of crashing to do this. Hirochi Sunburst Coupe 2.2 HTI Manual with arround 680hp? Something like that. 7:19.674 (noob with a controller)
So yeah, i took the fastest car in the game. What could possibly go wrong? Apparently a lot. With an outstanding acceleration and a heck of a top speed, this "daily drive" was nothing near comfortable. Having to stretch every muscle in my arm to keep this beast under contol (might have overreacted on that one) it revealed itself to be more aggresive than i ever imagined. Powered by a 4L V12 and a 0-100 in 0.55 seconds, this is the ultimate track vehicle. Be careful though: one split-second mishap will cost you your entire car, if not your life as well. It features a working steering wheel as well as functional gauges, showing gear, rpm and psi. Built from automation, this thing looks like it crawled its way out of hell. Car: 2026 Renaulstrid Prototype CX2R Type: Modded (Automation) Laptime: (5:27:398) Pictures:
Edit: That was a bit too ambitious of a try so I did the ultimate all-rounder. Vehicle: Gavril Roamer V8 Roadsport (M) Time: 9:55:146 So this vehicle is quite good at tracks, sure it struggles to go past the 130mph mark but it's very surprising for a house. A really nice balance between power and handling, power delivery is smooth. If you're going to try some laps, this is a perfect starter and it wasn't understeer city and the weight shifts nicely. The brakes are quite beefy, perfect for a car like this. I had a few slip-ups trying to make the lap and it could've been better with someone else as I had a controller in that video but I'm proud of under 10 minutes. I'm free for advice and criticisms and this was my first lap which I did without the steering center problems. If you want to point out a certain mistake then please say a time mark as I'm not familiar with the corner names. I'm thinking of doing another lap in a modified D-Series but we will have to wait and see...
I was just about to request that If someone could do a lap with the default Pagani Huayra and potentially the BC version, that would be pretty helpful for me to see if the tuning I did was effective and if there are any more tuning needed. Thanks! Mod link: https://www.beamng.com/threads/improved-pagani-huayra-v1-4.82359/
I sucessfully made the lap in 4.31. 506 i have no recording for the moment only this photo. Imma try make a video later on but this car literally made me tired it is wayyyyyy too fast. Made up with a lite modification on the brake force and still using a keyboard with no assist what so ever. And i confirm this is from hell itself, FR17 is a car for child comparing to that thing.
