Nordschleife Challenge

Having not read the previous pages, I'm gonna guess and say I might have the record here. Earth gravity, realtime, all that fun stuff. If you doubt me, look at all info on the bottom.

It has 2700 hp from a custom v12 swap (now outdated) and has invisible thrusters as well. Took me a full weekend and probably 12 hours to get this lap. I have some earlier runs as well which are a bit slower. Of course, indestructible, crazy downforce and grip, near zero drag, etc.

This was also a year ago, I thought this thread had become inactive and was no longer updated. I could dedicate another weekend to try and go faster.

Sadly, it doesn't count as a clean lap, because you did go all four wheels off at Fuchsröhre, as well as the Döttinger-Höhe straight and one of the final corners. Still a good lap, though, for piloting a hacked, extremely buffed OP car

I still have the save file, I might give it some extra tuning and a cooler/more powerful swap this weekend while I try to get a fully clean lap (and hopefully faster). Thanks for the feedback!

I had a 4th generation of the Bolide in my "ultrarace" series (the 3rd generation being my current record) which I was going to tune to be the fastest yet. Coming back a year later, I found out why I never finished the tune. The car makes so much downforce with such an incredible top speed that the tailcone is shoved into the ballooning rear tires to the point where it rips itself apart and crashes BeamnNG in the span of 0.5 seconds.

Gonna have to tune my 3rd gen for it to not destroy itself

7:14.965 in a tuned Hillclimb, although the only other record 9:05 in a stock V8.

I know it's been 13 days since this was last posted, but during those 13 days ever since, I have been constantly switching decisions, endlessly debating and arguing with myself, yelling at my wall for no reason and one instance of crying in the shower before I decided n̶o̶t̶ t̶o t̶o n̶o̶t̶ t̶o t̶o n̶o̶t̶ t̶o TOOOOO post this one statement:

Woah. That's one hell of a lap. You also controlled the car amazingly well! I'm surprised you weren't swerving all over the place like the previous attempters here.

 

I think it's a setup problem with the other cars. Their cars are setup to be really responsive on turn in. It's faster but harder to control. I'm not a good driver so I made the car easier to control.
