Am I the only one who loses a few FPS when removing the wheels? xDD:confused:

I get this too; 23-24 fps with all wheels and 74-76 by going down to six (Front and Rear-rear)

    Six wheels:

    (imported from here)

    Ten wheels:

Its certainly not single threaded, but it acts more like that with all wheels.

I have four threads and four cores by the way (stock i5-2500k).

Occasionally the core doing most the work will change normally after a vehicle reset.

We both have the same CPU, but the CPU usage is completely different. As you can see in one of my previous posts, with all wheels my CPU usage is close to 80%, but in your case it's just 36%.

I will go back to stock clocks and see what happens, but I doubt that going from the stock 3.4Ghz to my 4Ghz makes this huge difference.

    EDIT:

Ok so here are my results with stock clocks, it's happening to me too. So there you go, it's a problem caused by the CPUs not being able to handle this car. At 4Ghz I don't have any lag, but the stock 3.4Ghz lags pretty badly down to 24fps.

    what.jpg

    i5 2500k @ stock 3.4Ghz: 24 fps

    i5 2500k @ 4Ghz: 98 FPS

Yeah, that is worrying actually :p Not sure what's going on.

Wow. The amount of performance you can get purely out of overclocking is incredible. If I had a better cooling solution, I could actually overclock my 8320.

Overclock to 4Ghz and that will fix it for you.

I'd have to overclock to like 8GHz to see a significant improvement xD

My guess would be the mudflaps. They probably pulled alot of resources just freely hanging lol.

I have an 8320 running at 4.8GHz. I get higher bananabench scores than some of the good Intel CPUs here but I still only get ~22 FPS on the T75 with all wheels.

Okay, so I tested the T-75 on grid map with my i5 4690 running at 3.5 GHz.

I have V-sync off but my FPS hovers at 60 regardless

    /\ No wheels

As you can see, the FPS doesn't really change. Either you guys have got a Friday CPU or something is going wrong.

    EDIT:

    screenshot_00002.png

The faster I went the worst the lag was.

It's not GPU bottlenecking, as when I pause the game it shoots up to 70 FPS

I have done a little bit of testing on grid map. I found that:
Directly at spawn with default camera position i get around 20fps initially but very slowly the frame rate creeps up to 80fps
As soon as i start moving the camera it goes down to around 70fps
When i start to move the faster i go the lower the frame rate gets. But once i got past 55mph(ish) the frame rate started to go back up again. all the way up to 70fps.
I slammed on the brakes and my fps went way down closer to 25fps.

So there is something interesting going on.

Tried to record what happened, turns out things behave differently when observed (obviously for different reasons to double slit etc). It mostly goes along with what i said, i guess the extra resources required to record the screen changed the results quite a bit.

That's what happens to me, spawn with 30 fps aprox for a couple seconds then quickly recover to 98-100 fps. Then if I move around the fps bounce a little but they are perfectly above 60 all the time.

Or you could have a more powerful cpu then those having problems ;)

Tested with my i5-4670K stock 3.4-3.8GHz and GTX 780
Staying absolutely still, except for the driving test
Empty grid, no postfx, settings max except AA only 4x and sampling something.

Default gavril D that you spawn with: 147 fps

Gavril T with all the wheels: 138 fps

    Gavril T without wheels: 150

All wheels while driving around: around 60fps

here's my CPU usage while driving around:

    jS3D5mt.png

I think my CPU is being a massive bottleneck, I should probably try to OC it to around 4.5 GHz
but I need some decent cooling first

    Shitty i5 2.8GHz GTX750 FTW 2GB

With wheels - 24 FPS, unplayable
    Without - 79 FPS, glorious

Assuming you got the 8GHz measurement from the RAM on your gpu that is pretty misleading. You would usually quote the clock speed not the effective ram speed. Even then it is higher than expected.

Meant to write 2.8 GHz on the CPU. My bad.
Also, my GPU is stock, not overclocked, so some simple googling will help you out.

All graphic settings to minimum I'm rocking well over 100FPS. As soon as the T75 is spawned. Boom. Down to 18FPS or so. If I decelerate the simulation time one or more notches my frame rate goes back up. I've tried spawning just one of the two rear axles but certain combos (ie the front rear axle) will crash the game if I try to remove it.

    I'm running on an i7 2600K Sandybridge.

I only gain a few fps when I remove the wheels.

    With wheels

    Physics on, standing
    Average of ~120fps
    PHonWyST.jpg

    Physics on, driving
    About 10-20fps drop
    PHonWyDR.jpg

    Physics off, standing
    About ~130fps
    PHoffWyST.jpg

    Without wheels

    Physics on, standing
    Stable 130fps
    PHonWnST.jpg

    Physics off, standing
    Stable 135fps
    PHoffWnST.jpg

All of these "mesurements" were taken with max graphics settings and Vsync on. The only difference I noticed is that the vehicle drives better with wheels attached. Yes, the fps are a little more bouncy than without them, but this is not noticable at all when playing. I tried the same thing with 4 T's, and I still get the same result, only 10-20fps difference between with wheels and without.
