    What's the diameter? about 4-5cm is commonly used (5cm = 2")

Also, instead of placing the tubes in a circular shape extrude 1 tube, it's a lot cleaner and easier on polygons.

DUDE that sucks. Happened to me a couple of times too (with different projects such as video edits). All I can say is don't give up , now you know what to do, how to do it, and should be able to recreate it with minimal difficulties. Good luck and I'm sure you will create something even better than the first one! :D

Dennis-W, I just asked about the diameter and got an answer on the last page.

Still looks quite thick compared to this, for example:

I didn't know for sure if it was identical to the the tube diameter in the latest picture, hence why I asked again ;) .
I agree, it still looks too fat, using 4-5cm has always worked for me.

playing around with uv maps and textures lately.
hopefully this thing wont look crummy.
    2 things:
-i have no idea how to piece everything together
-i don't know how to create in game spring's, make the wheels move, create hinges, etc.

Sometimes when your computer crashes, it doesn't just simply need a reboot. Occasionally either a virus, incompatibility issue, or something else can cause a computer to crash and loose some important system files, causing it to crash and be unrecoverable.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_(Internet) A crash means something is wrong, eventually just the power spikes will kill your HDD. (or SSD) Something is wrong, trust me. Try blowing out all your heatsinks etc.

If it crashes is because something is wrong. Mine never crashes.

this is getting a bit off topic but if anyone was wondering. i discovered it was a power surge that annihilated my everything on my computer except my video cards (which are two sli'd titans) it basically ment i had to buy new parts from newegg and alot a lot of shit.
if anyone was wondering my specs now are (evga supernova 1500w psu, amd fx8350 eight core 4.2ghz,dual sli evga o6g geforce titan gpu's (lol at over 5000 cuda cores), msi 970a am3+,g skill 2X8gb memory (16gb) running at 1866, cooler master (i don't know the name because i bought it used) case.) i also bought a ups in case of power outages so this doesn't happen again.
even so here is a screen of some progress on the truck (no official texture yet)
    shittyyoloswagforjesus.jpg
and here's another pic with a crappy police texture. (i've got to re-configure my UVW maps)
    policeskinbeta.jpg backshot.jpg
i didn't realize until after i took the photo that the numbers are upside down. i have some work to do but im making progress.
