Off-Road Surface Sounds

Is there any word on a planned update to cover off-road surface sounds for rolling and skidding? Even if they used a single generic surface sound It would add a lot of presence to the cars and wouldn't feel unsettlingly silent.

As far as I know, the devs have not planned, nor announced any surface sounds. But as they have surprisingly released official horns and sirens, I think it could be possible that they are working on something like that in secrecy as well. If you want surface sounds (and many more) in your game right now though, I recommend you this mod:

I can not play without it anymore, especially the dirt sounds are such a big gain in atmosphere!
