Well, the topic is cars you drive, I did drive said insignia a few times even if it wasnt my own, therefore its not too offtopic considering others are allowed to talk about their old cars.
Sorry I missed this part of your post, I quoted you too fast. Email notifications have me checking back quickly. It may seem like the architecture has been the same, but it really isn't. The only thing that is still the same since 2004 is the door design. The frame and body have been continuously updated and I think it still looks modern. I traded my 2005 Escalade EXT on a 2008 Silverado LTZ, and I got rid of it almost immediately. i felt like the build quality slipped substantially between the 05 and the 08. I drove the 2014 Silverado 5.3 and it was OK, but I wasn't willing to pay the $58,000 CAD they wanted. I ended up paying $40,000 CAD for my F-150, and that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I found that the cylinder shutoff system was too active, and when I wanted power on the highway it had to dig itself out of 4 cylinder mode, fuck around a little bit, downshift eventually, fuck around a little bit more, then give me some power. Major turn-off. Curious to see how the 6.2 drives when my dad inevitably trades their 2008 Escalade on a 2015.
I believe you. Just wanted to make sure it's not your grandma's friend's dog's cousin's friend's aunt's gay cousin's estranged boyfriend's mother's Galant.
I agree about the Cylinder Deact, I mean it does its job saving gas, the 6.2 High Country is a effing beast though, we just got one in. you don't want to KNOW the USD sticker on that bad boy lol and the sunroofs are on constraint, just like the Vette Z51 package. back on topic, heres a pic I found of my Saab, with my two other lovers (they're my Summer rides) As you can see from my orig car pic post, that car had the same wheels, missing front spoiler, and paint color. Love my bitches. Little info on the bikes: Left: 2012 Specialized RockHopper Comp 29er Disc Right: 2000 Specialized RockHopper Comp FSR <yes, its 14 years young and has all orig parts except a chain, which FINALLY snapped over this pass summer, I was traversing a 3 foot deep river when I got hung up on some rocks underneath and ground out 3 links lol Otherwise, this bike is my all time favorite. Had it since 2000, when I was only 10 years old, clearly my mom had no idea how to size a bike, and theres a no return policy at our local bike store. Bonus for me in my future I guess, I kept that sucker clean as a whistle until 2005 when I could finally fit on it. EDIT Heres some beach offroad pix. BTW the black Ford Ranger over there is replaced with a Honda Ridgeline...don't ask. not mine. love the side pic, that was such a gorgeous day...
MR-2's are sick vehicles. Looks good, but the rims got to go though man. EDIT: Oh snap... a Jero too? Now I'm a little jelly.
the rims were on it when i bought it, i am not even allowed to have them on there the Paj was a great little 4wd, only spent ~$4k on it and it goes anywhere, but i am planning to upgrade to a WJ with the 4.7 or ZJ, not sure which is better though.
Oh, I'm in Winona, MN. - - - Updated - - - The 4.7's aren't good motors from what I've seen/heard. the 4 liter will run forever.
Ok, I will have to look into it then, the main thing i am woried about is the long arm kit, since it will cost about twice as much as the car
Here's my two. 1990 F250 with a tired 302 mated to a 5 speed, soon to be swapped to a 351 with a 4 speed. 1991 Nissan Hardbody with a KA24E mated to a 5 speed.
