That depends on what textures are missing.... if its bright orange screaming no texture then nah its playing up, try clearing the cache, but if you mean that the parts are just solid colors and paintable in the options menu then yeah thats normal at the moment. I have a mountain of UV mapping and texturing to do on this so it does look a little off compared to stock vehicles. Another update on the ute.... I'm about to start on the tray and tub options. I'll probably just do a tray to start off with so that I can hopefully get something released this weekend.
so not a rig body but the hopper as a cab only short wheelbase crawler. At least it'll be easy to backflip in the MT stadium. Very cool, can't wait. And like i said, take your time. no rush
Are you using the Dana 80's and 4 link? mine are almost indestructible, short of hitting trees are 30-50 MPH
I'm glad you like it. Can you save your configuration and send it to me in pm please so that I can work out whats going on. Cheers mate, its actually a little longer than the standard hopper but only very slightly, I think the lift of the axles changes the perception of length. Im considering doing the same thing with the rockwells as I did with the danas and giving a choice of wheel bases. It will save work in the future as well if I get around to doing a 4 door, the majority of suspension work will already be done.
compared a copy that was in downloads to mods just had to switch some suspension files from the othher 1 its fine now --- Post updated --- can you help me with my mod download both links for my mod to work any ways i need a 6.9 gas v10
I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but are you using this one? https://www.beamng.com/attachments/offroad_hopper_v0902-zip.298706/ The download on the 1st page is outdated and I'll be uploading another in the next day or 2 I'll also be starting a new thread soon as I'm not the original poster, therefor I cannot update the 1st page which is making it hard for people to find the latest updates.
Are the rockwells 2.5 ton or 5 ton? I think 5 tons would be way too much, considering they were originally used for monster trucks. I have seen bouncers use the 2.5 toners
I'm not sure which rating they are modeled after to be honest, JackLumba made the meshes at the beginning of the project but had a few issues with the jbeaming side of things. I would imagine they are made from the 2.5 tons as he was going to use them under his rock bouncer... I will be too once the bouncer and truggy chassis are completed They'll be as strong as I can make them to start off with and I'll tune the deform values at a later stage with feedback from you guys, but I would like them to take a fair beating.
can you help me with my mod download both links for my mod to work any ways i https://www.beamng.com/threads/t300-tow-pkg.44656/ heres a link
@hog0005, I have a request, I know this next update is coming soon, so not sure if it'll make it there. But is there a way you could add a weight bias feature? On some hills, i notice that the hopper is a little light in the front, even with V8's and diesels in it. I think it would be a great tool to help with tuning
No worries, I'll have a look at it for you tomorrow mate, I've already downloaded them and had a really quick look at the .zips but wont get a chance to load them up until the morning Yeah mate I can do that, I'll have a look into it, should be easy enough to add in though... Are we talking the type you see mounted on the front of tractor pulls or would you guys be happy enough with a few node in the front of the chassis rails having weight tuning abilities? The latter could be done in 5 mins with a small change in the code of a custom chassis. I only got a little done on it tonight but here's a couple more pics of the ute so far.
It'd be perfectly fine as Nodes. But later on when there aren't as many projects going on, A modeled weight box on the front would be cool. But yeah, Just nodes would be perfectly fine.
I was just thinking a way, in tuning, where we could simply shift the bias. adding weight is OK, but the racer in me doesn't like adding weight. But adding to a node (you mean the places you can grab with CTRL right?) could be good BTW the crawler cab looks awesome, can't wait ti drive it
if you look at the pics above, he's working on a cab version of the hopper. I'm sure a true bed, will be included. While not a true CJ8 (scrambler), he said it has a slightly longer wheelbase, than the standard hopper. so this could be the next best thing
