Well let me get back to my computer and I'll set a few up on your map in my own way. :)

Okay well I downloaded your map so I can maybe add some objects to help you out, but I'm now getting this.

    Seems to all be there.

(will there be water in the smaller drainage part?) ((I hope so ;)))

Yep, I'll be adding water there. That will be in the next update, as well as the bridges. By the way, did you spawn in the drain when you first booted the level?

A quick preview of how the new bridge is coming along. Railing and beams are not complete yet, but I'm almost there. As for the drain, I'll tackle that beast after the next update or so. :D

    Thank you, Holland.

The new bridge model should be complete tonight unless something comes up. Hopefully the update will drop in the next couple of days for more testing.

very cool! It's funny how much fun you can have with such a simple map. Whats your plan for the finished map? are you going to keep it to just the drain and bridge, or add more to it? ( I know your just starting, but I'm curious..)

I do eventually plan to expand outside of the drain. I have some concepts floating around in my head, but I'm not sure how much time and energy it would take to do what I would like to do. I'm just now learning how to model, UV texture models, etc. This is my first major project, so it's kind of in the air at the moment.

I know the feeling, I'm currently modeling some bridges and a tunnel for a map I'm making, the amount of trial and error with the size and shape of things is so time consuming when your learning..Did you do the textures on the bridge in blender? I have no idea how to add textures once I create the objects.

When I create a new model, I will import my .dae models into another layer and use them for size reference. It's cool, because you can hide or show layers when needed, and I delete them before exporting my .dae. For the textures, I exported the UV map and I edit them with Photoshop. There then applied in the BeamNG editor.

    Re: Old River

The errors are insane! I accidentally rotated my spawn object and I had to fix the game file to get it working again! Haha. Thank you, I'll hold you to that int he future. I'll also have to download your level and give it a run!

You know what really impresses me? The simplicity of it all.

It's a river with an overpass. And that's all you need, I've already destroyed this truck in so many ways, and the download finished only ten minutes ago.

I appreciate the work you've put into this, it's really coming along great. Even the untextured first release was fun. Now it just keeps getting better

    Re: [Update 10/10/2013] Old River

Thank you for the great feedback, sleepy. You've all been great with testing out my map and giving me proper feedback. I knew you would enjoy the wider columns under the bridge! Also, have you tried crashing into the yellow cylinders yet? They do quite a bit of damage for their size! When I'm testing the map, I like to try to drift the entire bridge around them, and drive under the bridge between where the column and the slope begins. :D

Now that the bridge is done, I can rework the drain a bit and begin introducing new models. I'll keep you guys posted.

The little yellow barriers on the bridge seem to make my FPS go down to around 5-10 whenever I drive past them...

I'm looking into the issue right now. Is anybody else having this issue when driving past the yellow barriers on the bridge?

I'm getting 60 FPS when going over the bridge at different angles.
