Progress, I got the configs set up, added rear air shocks with adjustable pressure (not as advanced as irl because I don't think the game supports that), and an early grille Next I will work on the Impala sedan, that will be a lot more work than the wagon
--- Post updated --- and since you work with beamng team I tried fix broken vanilla car texture I cleared Casch and checked mods and texture are still broken --- Post updated --- I Also have some cool ideas for the impala
Wagon has a shared body with the Custom Cruiser, so it's a matter of adding new badges and a front end. However the sedans are completely different from each other
What is different about it compared to the US one? I know the Delta 88 had an export variant with different turn signals and taillights, would this be the same?
Progress is way faster than expected. Because apparently this much of Jbeam in the original mod was near identical between the Caprice/Impala sedan body and the Delta 88 sedan body. The only differences being some node positions in the quarter panels and trunk area. So I could just copypaste the current Jbeam from Delta 88 and move those nodes. This will of course have to be tweaked later to account for irl weight differences, but for now it's fine temporarily
its not an actual euro model its a name for the post 87 front end https://www.classic.com/m/chevrolet/caprice/year-1987/ would upload an image but I am not going to friken enable beamngs stupid and useless 2 factor authorization it is the most dumb thing they ever added to this site --- Post updated --- I think it would be cool to be able to run the composite headlights in all sorts of the different cars
This was already in the original mod, so it will still be in the refresh. About the headlights, not sure, Caprice has different housings than all the other cars Added a bunch more parts, only smaller details left now
nice --- Post updated --- I have an idea can you give the beater working wipers i have ideas for the wipers on the beaters
