FINALLY!!!! After a few years of waiting on the update and missing the textures and hearing the pre engine sound refresh we finally have the mod back in modern form with the rescue team! Thank you for recreating/preserving this historic mod that future generations can enjoy team!!!
this demo is very generous, i did miss the old beater. the rough ones with the loose fan belt would generally have a looping squeak and moreso after you accelerate. it goes away when you picked up some speed. i wonder if that will annoy people or not. you got a few weird things to fix for sure.
When the Caprice is ready for release, I think it would be cool to have an Iraqi taxi config with a V6 engine and basic manual transmission, inspired by the real life Malibu-based cars. And maybe one of the derby, junkyard or banger configs could have a rusty Iraqi taxi livery with the backstory that it was one of the second tranche of taxicabs that never got shipped out due to the bill for the first batch being unpaid, and it rusted in a Midwest backlot for years before some redneck saved it.

Also, if someone willing to model the parts can be found and the stretch goal of adding the pre-facelift versions is achieved, will we be able to experience the GLORY of the California-compliant base straight-six, producing all of NINETY horsepower from 4 litres of displacement?
Will definitely add this as a config (both in Canadian police livery and a retired version). I want to believe this was a real thing, as some of the upgrades are similar to what the next gen of Caprice 9C1 cop cars could get and they shared many of the same mechanical parts
It's always very marveling to see these wonders of the past be given the light of day again after so long.
