People need to understand that mod makers are under no obligation whatsoever to add anything to their mods they don't feel like adding.
Tried the mod, it is a certified landyacht. Im not saying its a bad mod but theres quite some issues I found; 1. As any other people mentioned, the automatic gear lever are reversed but ill add one more thing, the manual gear shifter only goes for 3st gear while the manual has 4rd gears. It might be a bit innacurate but would love to see the shifter actually goes into 4rd and not some 3st gear overdrive lol 2. The tire textures lack normal maps making it really flat (I havent checked if theres normal or its just not so strong to differentiate the textures) 3. As any other people mentioned the rear reversing lights are red instead of the regular halogen white, and at the same note the side marker lights supposed to be turned on with the headlights. Also on the marker lights the rear ones are supposed to be red and not amber colored, and the front turn signals are also supposed to lit up with the headlights. The markerlights does function as a turn so... 4. Its not a bug but rather a suggestion, it would be very nice to have the rims and tires available for all cars, meaning the wheels, tires, and the respective textures are placed inside the common folder and not on the car itself. Sorry for quite the wall of text, but this mod already have a good base so I would love to see it improved to be more accurate. Its a great mod nonetheless I enjoy throwing it around.
I didn't say hes obligated to, I said I advise he should add it. I am grateful for the mod, but it certainly needs some more tweaks and customisation elements. I mean, it hasn't got a vinyl top either.
Will you be adding the single exhaust option, especially for the 5.7L engine which currently only has an aftermarket exhaust? I will probably add more factory parts myself if not but am wondering so that I don't end up duplicating official plans with a mod.
Sorry man. I was out of line there, I just wanted a reply from you to see if you ever noticed the column shifter issue, take your time!
It's a shame about the shifter and hopefully it can be fixed soon, but I'm just grateful to have a proper old American car in good quality for once and not another lame ass japanese or boring european car for the millionth time like usual.
A pity about the annoying children clogging up the thread (and the forums in general), because this is a great mod. Not only does it look the part, it drives like it should, handles like a dream, and is overall an excellent representation of the large cars of that era. If you were to keep it as is, only providing bug fixes, you'd have no complaints from me. I can't wait to see what you'll come up with next.
I don't backread this thread because it's a whole lot of repetition. My apollo cheese. Another issue I have is the car sits relatively high, I don't know if its factory spec or if it was just to achieve the boaty handling, but perhaps that could be tweaked too. Is a vinyl roof planned?
Did you know that by playing with the roof paint settings you can make it look like leather, vinyl and all you want?
I did. The vinyl material itself is however not a thing with this method. I also happen to know the original mesh used for this mod has a vinyl top, hence why I asked if it will be added later on.
This also annoyed me so I lowered the springs and adjusted the springs and shocks a bit to make it slightly more realistic, I may post those files here if the author is fine with it
I leave it as it is, however, it does sit pretty high. Drives super nice though, I'm trying to get one in career mode to replace my Marshal as my daily and so far I've missed out on it 3 times. Always sells out at the last minute.
