Should i keep this hole in the bumper? I dont want to make the russel a 1:1 Calibra replica, but i wanted to ask the community about this.
The actual calibra has no hole, which i think looks better. Of course it's up to you to decide if you put it there or not
As i said i dont want this to ba a 1:1 opel Calibra (that's also why the fenders look kinda wierd) and i think it gives the car a little bit more character. I think it fits in the 00s style(i know it was manufactured in the 90s but it looked ahead of its time)
That is the latest progress report that’s in-game, not sure if any more progress has been made though.
Right now the car is kinda broken. The jbeam is about 10% finished at the moment. I didnt really have much time
Don’t give up, I really hope that you won’t abandon this project, I’m even ready to buy it for money. I'm really looking forward to this car in the game. You are the best! By the way, I can photograph different textures of the car or show in detail various components from the angle from which you need. For example, interior textures or various signs.
I was trying to get my rear wheels to move back (nodeoffset of the hub). I've swapped my rear suspension for the pessima one but the 4 lug slot isn't visible, it's just the selection option. As it's one of my first experiments with Jbeams I would love to get some tips from the community. I also got the sound working. DEMO HERE
Sound aint bad actually but its too clean. Depends on which engine you re using. This sounds more like C20xe or C25xe to be clear but is nowhere close to C20ne the sound is too clean for calibra overall. I would reccomend watch some vids or do a research in some Opel/Vauxhall/Chevy forums and take a audio sample from there (note: Do not use the racing DTM V6 sound for the regular c25xe V6 engine, those two are different engines) , it might be helpful. I know its still and early version and i hope you gonna make this right. Im looking forward to it. Keep the good work.
MAN! That model is absolutely god-like! I would love to use that model! After you'll give it to me i will put you in the credits. Just send me the file over the dm's. Again, thanks I really appreciate it!
I also want to help with the model, I would do something that doesn’t exist yet, now I just started making the rear suspension. I also made the body of the car without details so that I could make the internal part in more detail, since you already have the external part, but if you need it, I can share this body too I think that we need to unite and make a model together --- Post updated --- Although I don’t know what is ready now and what is not, perhaps if you said that you are missing, I help you do it
could you possibly add a my summer car based config/parts, maybe a driver model in the interior? it would be funny --- Post updated --- my bad i just realised that the msc car is a vectra not a calibra but you could make something like this as a calibra
Not really... As you've said its a Vectra not a Calibra, second of all i would be making at least 4 different 00's tuning configs such as: "Rieser Show Car" - lore friendly Rieger show car "Fischer Show Car"- lore friendly Irmscher show car "Zepler Show Car" - lore friendly Zender show car "Diodes and neons" - a config representing Polish tuning culture from late 90s to early 00s.(selfmade fiberglass bodykit) --- Post updated --- Nice! I would be using it as i havent got a suspension model yet. Thank you very much!
lad dont overhipe ur self the rear / interior is not finished i droped it after not being happy with the tpo/ and general design i will be remodeling it some time but not in near future --- Post updated --- also the interior is 200bx interior edited in 5 mins XD --- Post updated --- also fun fact i this si the v2 opel calibra model v1 is this it was made for a game called (Street Legal Racing Redline)
This one actually looks better and more accurate since the older version had some boxy straight frontal bars behind the bumper. The only diff thing is the front suspension columns are missing and the tailights look a little boxy, they should be a little wider. But adding a heckblend could also fix the problem. If someone needs i can provide irl photos of the parts you guys are trying to bring in the mod and make it more accureate. For example ive noticed that most of the moders are not displaying the foam (impact absorber) that stays behind the front bumper and its only bare metal, (reinforcment bar). But thats pretty much it, Everything else is perfect. Heres what i mean thats the foam impact absor and it stays on top of the reinforcment bar. It would be also a cool idea to make it a whole part not 2 different parts. For example edit the reinforcment bar to look like the impact absorber and just make it diff color. Im pretty sure theres countless of ideas to go with. But if something pops up in your mind just hit me up.
