If smoke can be volumetric then so can fire, they work in practically the same way, though if you want fire to look good it would have to be animated and animated particles are not possible as far as I am aware, I may be wrong though
Would be sick with we had a graphics mod that makes the game look better and optimizes the graphics, anyways clouds is one thing that we needed so thank you!
Added a new video in the post showing a fly-through test, I ended up changing how these are rendered. They are now in post processing and have a new atmospheric model, there's some visual issues to work out and the lighting is incomplete, but the concept is there.
Buddy, this is so damn good. Not a ton of action in this thread but my guess is that ppl dont see it or dont realize the magnitude of your work.
For my old gfx mods i used to post the development in the Development Screenshots thread. Also i tried to post somewhat often/small updates too and so on. Not too serious though but the positive feedback is always nice and a good confidence/energy boost Saw that someone commented on the neat to last vid, clearly that person has NO idea what he/she is looking at lol
@Richard are there limits to say height? Thinking of the possibility to have a normal overcast day with approaching storm clouds, huge in height compared to overcast clouds.
They're meant to have a realistic height, and I'm trying to get it based on a cloud type / weather map --- Post updated --- so far so good, when I run into an issue with support on a given map, I fix it
Just checking in, as I do on a daily, to see how things are going in this thread @Richard , since it the best mod-thing to happento beam in years
