It IS a dumb excuse. People like you are the reason why paid mods are being normalised to a ridiculous degree. Every time someone tries to call out this disgusting behaviour, there's always a group of people who will get defensive and project themselves into others just because they don't agree with these sketchy practices, which often results in white knighting and endless arguments.

We're "pretty sensitive" because this has gotten way too far. We've got paid wheels, tyres, and even skins; these people keep getting away with it because people who buy them think with their wallets instead of using their brains.

It will keep happening if nobody calls out this greedy behaviour.
