STOP accusing the mod author of stealing sounds, it just shows how little you actually care about the truth of the situation. Is neither side of this argument sane? There's gotta be a middle ground between "give me more money than you gave the developers of the whole d*mn GAME" and "I refuse to pay anybody for their legitimate work". Please RV, just release a one-time purchase version that includes future updates. Even if it's more than $11. Please. PLEASE.
Not stolen, stop accusing him of stealing sounds. I'm not paying $11 for these under any circumstance, but even I can acknowledge that he put actual work into getting the sounds instead of just making up insane claims. Stay out of this.
These sounds would be worth maybe at MOST... $5? For example, here's the sound of the Subaru B4 in this mod (v1.2).. I don't think paid sounds should have a VTEC-like sound near 4500-5000RPM..
I play on a pretty decent sim rig so realistic sounds give some of the best immersion for me. I bought the 1.2 pack when they had a christmas sell for $5 so well worth it. RV and Hellraiser are the only two i'd probably buy sounds from cause they are top notch and good quality. I will say Hellraisers sounds offer more customization with an adjustable slider in many areas in the tuning menu, RVs does not. I hope you (RV) can implement something like that in the future to make your sound mod stand out even more. Good luck to you!
One of my favorite details that I don't see many people mentioning is that this was posted in the land section. This wasn't a mistake. I've noticed that individuals looking to make a quick profit often post their paid mods under the land category instead of the mods and skins section. If a paid mod is truly exceptional and the creator is proud of his/her work, he/she would likely post it under the mods and skins section so that people could find it, given its quality.
the sound itself is decent if a bit un-immersive, but what really stands out is all that background "jingly" distortion. Not sure if that's a side effect of the site compressing the video or what but it sounds awful.
And Hellraiser has a B4 engine that sounds just as good if not superior to this. And on top of that, it's free.
I bought this mod and I'm over the moon with how it transforms many vehicles in the game, the immersion is second to none and it holds a torch to or outright sounds better than many sims / mods that I have tried, however I do agree with others that the price is too high considering you don't get updates. I just hope the mod doesn't break for quite some time as I personally won't be keeping the patreon rolling. I still have zero regrets purchasing this, it is truly amazing.
Yes and he will soon release v1.3 with improvements to sounds and i hope he fixes the bass issue on some mods they seem weak but the overall quality is like 9/10. RV sound and TDK doing what this game REALLY needed.
