It should be fairly close (not sure how the two cards compare in other games). My 6950XT is pretty much on par, maybe even slightly better than the 3080 I had previously, when it comes to this game. This all happened after the 0.28 update. Before 0.28, I had to set min/max frequencies just to get close to the 3080.

Ps. The 6950XT hits 80-90% utilization in hard to run areas of various maps and 100% in other parts of those same maps.

Thank you so much! Now based on what you said I already know which card I should buy instead.
    6750xt for sure

My problems with my rx 6600 were solved after 0.28.0 but have now returned in a new weird form, the game runs amazing when the cursor is not on the game, if i move the cursor over the game my frametime almost caps to 11.1 and the game runs at 50 fps on normal settings...

Edit: it appears my frametime is now floating around 16, gpu isnt being utilized unless i move cursor to my second monitor.

Since 0.28 there has been some problems when taking screenshots, it apears as some leftover data from the last screenshot taken is sometimes appearing in the new screenshot, ive confirmed with another user that this problem happens to him too. it doesnt happen on any regular interval, it just does it at random, so sometimes you have to take 3 pictures to get one good pic. I remember this happening on an old version around 0.20-0.24 but it seemed to be solved

Does this happen in Vulkan mode? I cannot reproduce the issue on my AMD card in DX11

ive had this happen many, many times too on my 5700XT - happens on both DX and Vulkan but Vulkan is more common. it seems to happen more often when framerates are low. it feels like the screenshots bleed into eachother

That happens a lot. The simple fix is sort of "refreshing" the game window by either doing Alt+enter (if windowed) or just alt-tabbing and getting the game on a window, then taking the photo. I have a amd gpu too and that "fixes it". It looks to be caused when the resolution gets big for some frames then returns to normal... doesn't happen on normal screenshots.

Does anyone have a fix for the sudden fps drop when moving a cursor apart from using vulkan?

    Hello,

Coming after some months without playing BNG, I see there's no improvement on this issue with DirectX, but I tried Vulkan and for the first time it worked... and it worked pretty nice! My 6900 XT card is running like it should, getting more than 100 FPS with Ultra settings, and a stable 135 FPS with High settings (3440 x 1440). :)

There's a minor issue, vegetation looking white in some lighting conditions but I don't really care.

I also have flickering shadows (everywhere in vegetation it's flickering), I have to disable shadows, both in DirectX and Vulkan, I'll try to clear cache to see if it changes something.

Also Vulkan looks better in FPS consistency, I don't know how to call that, but with DirectX, even with a good FPS I can see inconsistencies in the animation (and even FreeSync has issues), but with Vulkan it looks perfectly smooth. Love it. :)

Thanks to the devs for constant efforts on making this game better.

Hello, I have a problem. BeamNG drive loads only one processor thread out of 12. I have an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and 1060. Before the 0.31 update, everything was fine, but after the update, this happens. My friend has the same processor and has a similar problem. Because of this, performance in the game suffers enormously.

Did you try the experimental Vulkan renderer? Should be better there
EDIT: also this thread is about problems with AMD GPUs, but you have a Nvidia 1060. There are no deep rooted problems on AMD CPUs.

Yes, I tried running the game on Vulcan. But my game crashes and graphic artifacts appear on the screen. But if you go to the empty grid map, everything works for me.

Which OS? Drivers up to date? GTX 1060 with 3GB or 6GB?

Recently i changed my gpu from 1070ti to a 6650xt and from now on my garage2garage fps is horrible for some reason. Using Vulkan it goes from 120-130 in freeroam to not more than 40. As far as i can see it does not depend on a car and as currently tested happened only on ECUSA. On opengl overall fps is lower(around 75-90), bit Garage2garage still lowers to 40-60. Is there an answer on how to fix this?

Edit:It seems to me that the problem has been localized and it's a cpu bottleneck when traffic is turned on. Weird, because that same cpu had no prblem taking a few cars but after the gpu switch it looses performance badly. How to fix that? CPU is I3-12100.

Another edit: The game ran just fine with traffic on ECUSA for a few minutes, then i change the car and we're back to 30 fps from 80.
