Here's a photo of the most popular Italian locomotive - you can find it pretty much anywhere in Italy It's the FS Class E464.500, where "E" stands for Elettrotreno, which basically means "Electric Train". A staggering amount of 880 locos were built between 1999 and 2015 by Bombardier. The pictured one is the 500th, stopped at platform 1 at Sesto Fiorentino station (near Florence), coupled to 5 VivAlto double decker coaches. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/FS_Class_E.464 here you can find more info about this locomotive Photo info: • Photo taken with S23 Ultra, 200 MP - 23 mm Wide, 16320×12240. • F1,7 | 0.0ev | 1/118s shutter speed | ISO 16. • May 26, 2023 20:22. 1963 Dodge 330 It was last registered in 1977, and apparently purchased at a Honda dealership. 1956 Buick Super It didn’t have plates, so I don’t know when it was last registered, but it was in slightly better condition than the 330. I love the passenger jet hood ornament. 1996(?) Plymouth Voyager This one was last registered in 2013. The interior is in mediocre shape. I didn't take any more pictures because it really gave me the creeps. I can't explain it, though. 1994(?) Dodge Ram 2500 V10 Magnum This one was last registered in 2019, and has a Samsung microwave oven and some brake disks in the bed. This truck also has the cleanest 1990s truck interior I’ve ever seen, (stain- and dirtiness-wise, at least) in use or otherwise. V10, baby! I want this truck. BONUS: a Honda Civic with both rear tires flat. How very exciting. 06/10/23 edit: I have a theory about that Dodge 330. I bet the first owner bought it in 1963, but traded it for a more fuel efficient Honda at his local Honda dealer in 1974, when the fuel crisis started. Then, someone bought it from the Honda dealership, but decided he didn’t want it, probably because of the gas crisis. He then proceeded to abandon it. This theory would explain the Honda sticker, the 1974 plate, and the 1977 tags.
Surprisingly, I think they'd all start up if you tried hard enough. the Dodge 330 and the Plymouth Voyager are in the worst condition.
A g-wagon on the side of the road and a funny german plate in Sardinia, Italy EDIT:I'm sorry, the photo of the G-wagon Is too dark
Not a photo, but thought I'd share this in here. There's currently a huge thunderstorm where I live with lots of lightning
That's cool and amazing! Lightning amuses me a lot. I had a similar event happening a few months ago, around the end of June. I was at a camping Village in Tuscany, Italy. The weather app I use was announcing severe thunderstorms from late afternoon to the morning of the next day - but I thought to myself that wasn't too much of a problem, maybe it will rain a few drops if not at all. This said day (iirc the 29th of June) at morning it was sunny, not a single cloud in the sky, but for whatever reason I decided to not go to the beach and have a bike ride around. After lunch, I went to the beach and on my way there there was a huge cloud coming towards. Fast forward two hours - strong wind, some rain droplets and lots of thunder. But the big stuff still had to come. Around 10 PM, a sort of mini-derecho formed near Elba Island in Tuscany and was moving towards me. I took a video of the thunder and everything, absolutely stunning. Got in the bungalow just in time as it started raining... it lasted about two hours. I'll upload it here, hope it doesn't get taken down as this is a photography thread. We should make a videos thread if there isn't any btw haha!
