Everyone is with their super nice camera, and I'm here trying to at least give a small feeling of the beauty of the scenery with my potato phone camera

Noice. Curious, but did you use CHDK/Magic Lantern with the motion detection script to capture those?
No. I watch sky and when i saw lightning, I clicked button. I have Magic Lantern but i didn't tested motion detect yet.
Didn't know this thread existed... guess I'll dump a few of photos here. Camera: Samsung Galaxy S7 Natural Bridges National Monument, UT Caterpillar Wind turbines
Also I didn't use tripod for take that photos. Shutter time is (depends of photo) between 1/40 to 5 sec. Storm from that pictures is most powerfull this year. Many forests and buildings on west side was destroyed. Happily i live on "special border". I only see storms but it didnt do for mine town. 20 km town from mine place has some loss. Some not mine pics from that storm. 400kV power line who connect north and south poland also has bin destroyed (one pic here) @missionsystem @kaiser imnop @PizzamanN64 @NistingurA @Destructmen
Got a new camera and playing around with it. Replaced my old Canon SX50HS with a Nikon D5300 + 18-105 Supermoon from some weeks ago. 2 shots stacked. The superzoom would have been nice there. Diwali
My grandma took a moon pic similar to that, and you can see every crater and detail on the moon! She has a dslr camera
