Small issue: one of the tunnel has walls made of sand and i can clip trough the walls and fall down into the void because of it --- Post updated --- walls in tunnels are all sand. idk if this is because of another mod but this is very odd --- Post updated --- never mind fixed the issue: having the toxic sand dune mod (map) will make walls turn into sand
Ok guys when browsing through the gallery I just realized that "station" is misspelled in every highway sign. I wonder how I didn't find this small mistake when wandering around the map 好的大伙,我非常不幸地发现所有高速路标上的Station都拼错了(绷不住) If you find more issues please report them to me. I will post a small update to fix them at a time. 如果你们找到其他bug请及时汇报,我争取之后发个修复版,一次性把所有问题解决
It took me quite some time to explore how to get the snow cover shaped and add LOD for it. But thankfully it eventually works and looks not so bad
one of the best maps imo, it slides a lot so there's potential for really good crashes and i love the little spot with houses next to the highway
Absolutely gorgeous map, cruising on it for over 10 hours! I wish you not to stop working on the map, I'm really looking forward to updates!
This is quite literally the most fun I've had on a map in a while. The roads are slippery enough to the point they're usable but still provide a challenge to keep your car on the road. Love it!
does this have proper AI or no? asking ooc --- Post updated --- nvm answered on my own. one thing we kinda need in this is guardrails lol, like in places like this. plac
The map has full AI support, but due to the slippery road and how BeamNG AI works currently, AI may not drive correctly, it crashes a lot and get stuck on some uphill roads, etc. Lowering the Risk Parameter in AI Control or Traffic Control UI APP may help a little. As for guardrails, yeah I did not place too many of them for your guys' need to make crashes or drive off the road or something like this. But later I'll add guardrails on some of the mountain roads, for decoration I am expecting someone to discover this, by roaming in free camera or falling down from the road to become part of the scene...
So OP, is the map meant to be this slippery? I get it, like snow and ice. But on off road tires with offroad brakes when I slam on my brakes it takes a full 4 seconds to come to a stop whether its on uphill, straightaways, or downhill. Downhills the worst in terms of braking iirc. Cause like ive played Mammoth Valley before and it is not that slippery lmao
Well I have played Mammoth Valley too and yes that map is less slippery. This map originally used "Asphalt Wet" as the groundmodel, it seemed unrealistic for icy roads and I changed it to "Slippery" in the revamp and edited it to have a little more grip. If you apply full brake at high speed, there's still a good chance you'll slide and lose control, though. I think it's reaonable. Actually I have received complains about this some days ago, and I have adjusted the groundmodel trying to make the asphalt a little less slippery while still let you to slide and make crashes.
