Post reporting

"times reported" is majorly flawed

in the past month alone there's been two or three users who went on an unbased reporting spree on me because they were mad

not counting that number, which I don't even know, I get -0.07764705882 btw

What about little goals you can archieve over time in the forums? I dont know how bad the behaviour got on the forums, i'm not too often on here.
But from my standpoint i would take away the ability to upload your own avatar or to choose your own signature from everybody.
Everybody starts with 3-6 premade avatars to choose from.
If you behave on the forums with a certain activity over time you'll unlock little perks like another 6 premade avatars or your first line of signature.
If the user contributes constantly "good" content he will unlock full avatar and signature support in the long run.
Gamify the whole thing a little. People usually have an urge to present their archievment and to get them they are willing to drop bad behavior which prevents them to get those.

 

I would have to protest the new signature restrictions. I for one actually enjoyed opening people's sigs and seeing their compilations of funny quotes (at least until their quotes got raunchy).

Also, weren't negative ratings tried once before and removed?

As for removing groups, I'm note sure where people are seeing that, but having them around did at least keep the roleplaying off the main forum so people didn't keep vomiting Br*ck*ll R**d Cr**s*r memes all over everything. The removal of the member leaderboards upsets me because I never got to get on the lifetime-posts or lifetime-positive ratings lists.

Finally, I agree with anyone who has suggested not feeding trolls. No one would remember captain cool blox today if someone hadn't tried to outspam him in his own thread.

I think it's nice that the members page is removed. It only made people spam the forums to get there. I miss the member search tho.

The new disagree button is a nice addition, maybe some people will now realize they are annoying. I don't really see how this could go wrong.

About the users who will be able to use super likes: I seriously hope that they will not be chosen by the like or message count. That would increase spam. Maybe they should be chosen manually based on what you devs know about us forum users.

Unless I'm mistaken, you can type in the member's name in the search bar and they'll show up, right? If you put their name in the "posted by.." tab it shows a lot of their threads and posts, which then you just click on their picture and you're at their profile. I'm on mobile, so not sure if the box shows up with the members that have similar names to the search query.

I think a feature where you can delete your post not only on your profile page would be nice. I know that I have to 'use my brain before posting' but say you made a mistake so you can delete it yourself instead of asking the mods to delete it.

I honestly think that’s terrible. It’s like getting rid of your personality. And I think one of the reasons why we have avatars is so it’s easier to tell users apart.

 

What's a superlike and who can use them?

 

It’s a like, but it’s “special”. Only trusted members can give them out. The rating itself looks like the normal like, but it’s puke green color.
