Power Steering?

I agree that the default vehicles should come with power steering since it's strange not to have it added by default. But just FYI, having looked at the code behind the regular power steering, all it does is reduce the FFB steering strength by a certain percentage defined in the vehicle JBeam files in the power steering part (e.g. ETK 800 is 25%) and nothing else from what I can tell. This means you can get the same exact power steering feel by reducing the steering strength in the FFB settings by that percentage For example, 320 FFB strength with power steering feels the same as 240 FFB strength without regular power steering for the ETK 800.

But the adaptive power steering on the other hand is pretty nice since it varies the FFB strength with speed and it's weird how the modern vehicles especially don't have it equipped by default.

 

It's not equipped by default because it reduces the fidelity of the FFB and we are currently not in a state where we think that makes sense.
