I have seen this improved mod in the fan-made BeamNG movie series created by FrIzErIs, but I wasn't able to obtain it until now (Thank you!). Other than the improved JBeams, there are more parts and configurations, and the quality is better. Overall, it is far superior than the one originally created by 58_gram. Well done, Vinh.
I am aware that you provided the mod to FrIzErIs for the movie series and your appearance as well (because of the credits on part 4). As I have said earlier, nice job on the rework and I hope you can make more improvements and features to the DTS!
well well well... i thought people were being a bit harsh when they were saying that this mod is absolute ass... but nope! they werent. pros: -custom engine sounds -lots of configs -tries to emulate the official vehicles in the thumbnails cons: the trunk is not even attatched to the vehicle the car has no engine the interior has less polys than the original laura croft the steering wheel (when held so that the wheels are pointed forwards) is crooked the Jbeam is absolute rubbish the light emitters for the reverse lights, tail lights and the headlights are all out of place the car has no transmission, or exhaust effects the engine sounds are extremely low quality and grating, and sounds like a racecar. the in-car cam is inside the seat, and almost useless becuase of this the brakes are terrible, and the car skips like a kid on a sugar rush when you try to stop the model has fog lights, but you cannot turn them on. the glass doesnt break, excluding the front window. which when it does break uses a terrible texture the hood likes to clip inside the fenders some cars do have an engine! but they are almost always clipping inside of the car the suspension is very poor, it looks poor, and it feels poor. the car handles like a russian mod the car is slower than a legran pulling a caravan the car has no underside, just a picture of a cars underside the interior is juat a picture of an interior. the engine sound gets very annoying very fast. the car jitters while standing still the skins are very poorly made. the car spawns inside the ground most of the time the hood bends like a tin can the fenders on the other hand, enjoy gripping on for dear life to the rest of the car the car deforms in unnatural ways the herse version of the car deforms in odd ways the hearse version has an un-textured shiny black inside the car does not enjoy colliding with itself a lot of the cars thumbnails are not on the classic grey background, this might sound like a small issue, but it makes the car selector menu look like absolute ass. the car has boring descriptions, and no performance tab i had to download it from google drive. TL;DR its a russian mod with some more configs. i really wanted this car to be good, but in reality its really not.
For the complaining Modem, this DTS is still a heavy WIP, that's why the interior isn't detailed neither is the underbody.
its heavy wip for sure. i think that you guys can pull this car outta the mud and make it decent. but is it a good mod now? not at all.
Well, it's a pre-alpha and most of the mentioned bugs are already known. I'm pretty sure drive isn't an issue. And skins are 4K. If you have so much to complain, i guess that you could give suggestions to improve the problems. So yes, thank you very much for reporting unknown problems and the team is going to fix them to make it better
Instead of stating the obvious, how about you make an effort to help. I don't think you have any idea just how much of a mess the model is. I can almost guarantee if you load that rubbish into Blender and have a go at fixing it you will get a headache within 5 minutes.
i would again long story short: the model was a lot worse than i thought. i actually went and downloaded it. and aside from it being detected as a virus by both avast and microsoft security, the mod was pretty much useless. it wouldnt even spawn properly. i still stand by my opinion that this mod is absolute rubbish, even taking into account that a ton of work has gone into this. it needs a bit (lot) more time of development before its ready to show its face. good luck on fixing that russian s***show. i hope you can pull it off
Well, the deformation is realistic enough (Just compare to a DTS or a CTS) but i do admit some other parts are rubbish. We'll try our best to improve it --- Post updated --- What's rubbish about it? Go and jbeam it if you're better than us
