Pretty sure he was insulting Ferrari with that statement. I highly doubt he actually thought it was a Hyundai.
I have 2 great looking cars and two stories to tell. When I was younger, I see Clarkson, I buy. 2006 Range Rover Sport isn't a Range Rover, nor a sports car. If there is anything that I can relate 2006 RRS to anything sporty, it's gotta be the price. it was priced like a sports car, or even more. After this RRS, I see Jeremy, I click, then I walk away. Then, when I am older and have developed more sense, I see May, I buy. Tesla is quick, but not so much with the maintenance, don't ask me how I realized that. After this Tesla, I see May, I click, then I walk away. Then, I see Hammond, I just walk away. Back to the topic, old Range Rover Sport looks good (I think better than the new one), Tesla Model S looks great, but they all have serious problems. Range Rover Sport feels too heavy, too pricy, and it breaks down literally every 2-3 month. Tesla's infotainment system is too hard to control, it is not reliable, and it literally took 3 months to replace a door handle. My family and I regret owning both of them. This is the problem with some good looking cars, never meet your hero, stare it from a distance, and buy something practical instead.
I find that certain paints are generally pretty not just the cars themselves. One of the things that caused me to get the Honda Civic I have now instead of something else is the look of the paint. Dyno blue pearl is what Honda calls it, and unfortunately it doesn't look as good in pictures as it does in person. It seems to sparkle in the sunlight much more so than other paints, and its a nice shade of blue too.
