Did it stretch over time or when you were trying to release the hood? I'd say pulling on the mechanism to release the hood puts a lot more pressure on a cable than a throttle linkage. I could see how maybe they could stretch over time. I've never heard of any cars going that so it must not be a big problem.
Nah, its the usual GM Crap. It keeps stretching. Half tempted to get some stupidly strong bicycle brake line (genuinely appears thicker) and replace the stock cable, or let the next owner deal with trying to open the bonnet after the cable has stretched again. Its probably releasing the bonnet that makes it stretch, its just with my piece of crap car I have to release the bonnet at an alarming rate. - - - Updated - - - Someone put this in the wrong thread.

Ride comfort is determined by the softness of the springs/dampers, not the ride height. Yes, lower springs are almost always stiffer than standard (because it makes the car handle better), which worsens the ride comfort over bumps and such. If you got in a modified offroad car with stiff springs and a high ground clearance, you'd find the ride comfort would be not great either. Of course, if the suspension is so low that it's hitting the bump stops, then it's a different story. If you're car is that low, you've gone way past a good stance into the realm of full retard. Crown vics are known for being tough. It's why police departments loved them so much. Tough and roomy. And there have been many of them in taxi service that have passed 400k. Like this one Near the end of it's life, but it's got 400k. To stay on topic: Am I one of the few people that actually likes the new wrx's?
If its police cars that you are after, well then... I have decided not to include police cars that are not in actual use such as lambos etc
