Curiously enough, the styling of the XJ-S was shot down for being unbalanced and slightly contrived back in its day. The flying buttresses were the most criticized styling element. As for me, I always loved the way they looked, especially the early models, even though I like the post-facelift rear lights arrangement better.
Renault's new sedan, the Talisman, has very quickly became a contender for me. For all the bloated modern cars you see nowadays the Talisman, and pretty much every new Renault like the Megane - looks incredibly sharp.
My only problems with this car are the gigantic badge, and the headlights that make the car look like it's crying.
You bet your butt. There's the Facel Vega II, the III, the Facelia, the EX1.... Basically whatever they made had enormous class. And sometimes a DeSoto V8.

Everyone's gonna hate me for this but my opinion is the 99 mustang has to be up there. And the crown vic. No picture because EVERYONE knows the crown vic.
I adore the look of the W124, W126, and W140 Mercedes-Benz's. I love them to pieces, and would buy a good S420, S500, or S600 in a heartbeat. --- Post updated ---
Released in 1938 as a one-of prototype the Phantom Corsair was already ahead of its time with its aerodynamic aluminium body and 6-seater layout (four in the front and two in the back). I just love the design it's a truly timeless piece of automotive art
