I don't believe it is, I was running the demo downloaded from the front page just a handful of days ago on a GPU that has no DX11 support.

Nope tech demo was updated only once, long time ago, before DX11. And guy who joined forums today and don't own game, have bigger knowledge about it than you guys. He knew that problem is that tech demo use DX9 and actual game use DX11, and upgrading DX won't help (and he said that he play GTA V and JC3 = he have DX11), also if other games works very well and GPU don't clock high while playing BeamNG it's obvious that it's not driver problem. BeamNG don't need decent GPU to work well. BeamNG needs decent CPU. Yup, mighty DEVs :D put some of calculations on GPU side and made some improvements in newer versions. Actually i5 6600K isn't THAT powerfull, in games it act similar to i5 4690k, ( which is obviously enough to play BeamNG at full GFX setting and around 2-4 cars with stable 60fps ), but is way better for rendering. Well IIRC in some builds AMD software like Crimson's settings (profile, or whatever) for BeamNG, raptr, gaming evolve etc. cause huge fps drops. So check this, and if you wanna try how it will work you can always get it from illegal source to check if you are happy with results, and then buy it - like I did. If actual game won't run flawless then it's for sure something wrong with your software. And then you can ask for more support :)

PhysX. Exactly, that's the biggest downside of the game in its current state. The lack of PhysX support.

ffs man. How many times do I have to explain that you are thinking of the wrong thing. Cuda/opencl not physx

Sorry. Seems like you have to do it a lot more times. My mind is a damn filter that filters everything out that makes sense. Guess I won't ever say that word again in this game forum.

physx. Nvidias own physics engine and but a very good one, like havok, bullet, ode and Newton. Beamng doesn't use any other physics engine than itself.
physx can use cuda as gpu processing. But you don't need to use physx to use cuda. Cuda is NVIDIA only. Opencl is like cuda but for both AMD and NVIDIA

    Ok, thx...

I don't like downloading it from an illegal source, that's the problem. But I'm pretty sure that it will work. :)

No need to illegally download it. Buy the game on Steam. If it doesn't work, get a refund (But try getting help here first)!
    https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6695-QIKM-7966

Refunds on Steam are only available if it's within 14 days of purchase and has been played for less than 2 hours.
The 2 hours thing I think you can get around by directly running the game from where it's installed so Steam doesn't log the time.

Oh... that's nice. Forgot that. :D

I will try that tomorrow, I think. I will need less than 2 hours for testing it. I'm pretty sure. ;)

I sometimes get some lag when playing on maps that are not the test grid map. For instance I loaded into a map called Ghost-Town -http://www.beamng.com/threads/ghost-town.16405/-
    AMD FX 8320 Eight core
    8GB DDR3
    And a MSI GTX 960
I have tried different cars but whenever i enter the city my fps goes down to around 13-20 fps
    my monitor(TV) Resolution is 1360x&760

    UP.
    - Mod map = when it's good quality, big or just not another gridmap usually need way more computing power than stock maps,
    - AMD CPU which sometimes have troubles with BeamNG,
    - This CPU model have kinda weak single core performance (well it's damn cheap, especially for it's overall performance, which is very good for rendering, not gaming but DX12 may change it, no one knows)
    - GPU is good enough to play on high settings.

/ solution if you can afford cooler like Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, take it and OC this processor, becouse it have way better OC possibilities than Intel's CPUs. Also take MSI Afterburner and OC GPU a little bit.
