Just read the edit to your first post. That must have been a rough experience, hope you have a quick recovery. Only slight thing I noticed is you didn't list the configuration of my car on my result as you did with the others. 'Twas the rally version of the Covet.
By the time I was sure he wasnt going to slow down he was less than 60-70 feet away. At 45mph, the rated speed of the road thats less than one second. If it were fully dry I would have driven off the road and possibly avoided the collision, with the possibility of him glancing off my bumper as I tried to pull off the road. Since the roads were so wet I still dont think there was any possibility I could have gotten out of the way safely. I'd have probably gotten into too big of a rush, spun the tires, and slid into the car in front of me. At first, no one but me was in pain. We all went to the E.R. And they found nothing wrong with us. They took X-rays and couldn't see anything wrong. If I ever get into an accident again I'm going to ask them to throw me in a ditch and light me on fire rather than take me to that same hospital. Currently the injuries after seeing professional doctors: Driver Broken lower right rib.(X-Ray.) Pulmonary Contusion. (MRI. Explains why it was so hard to breathe.) Whiplash, spinal nerve compression & inflammation. (Random periods of pins and needles all over body, numbness, Sudden sharp pains everywhere.) Wife: 2 Herniated Discs in upper neck (MRI) Rear Driver Side Passenger: Damaged lower spinal surgical hardware, implanted due to a previous auto accident. (X-Ray) Just looked at his MRI. At S1, Below L5, the normal bend is 75* or so. On his MRI the bend is 85+*. He is definitely the most injured. He was sitting in the back, and the car shot upward, into his back from the impact. 2 Herniated Discs.
