Re: Rally Forest That's what I wanted to say! Especially love the road bumpiness, shoulders and width! You really 'feel' the speed you're going... it feels realistic. Although barely (sometimes runs out of memory), I'm even ably to play it on my laptop. It has a little bit of spintires feel to it I think.
Re: Rally Forest This almost looks like the map quality I would expect from a Triple-A title like DiRT or Forza. Excellent job, I must say that this map flows extremely well and is very fun to drive/crash on. Edit: Sorry, this IS the map quality I would expect from a Triple-A title like DiRT of Forza.
Re: Rally Forest Wouaaah! You make a pro job mate! You have a sphinx vision of environment ,this is really what it need for a simulation game... If I can do a critic, the guardrail texture is not very nice here... What is your next project?
Re: Rally Forest thanks! Sorry about the guardrail, I didn't feel like making a custom texture. Right now I have no ideas for a map, so if anyone wants to give me an idea it would be very helpful
Re: Rally Forest What about a highway map? Not one that's just straight and endless, one that has off ramps into small towns.
Re: Rally Forest you know... that may not be a bad idea. I may look into doing a re-skin of this map. no promises - - - Updated - - - Not so sure I could make one interesting enough though. I'm not a great modeler and the current game models would make it quite repetitive.
Re: Rally Forest I think if you are really going to out do yourself with another vehicle oriented map focus on your imagination of where GTA 6 will be. (I am biased, it is my background) Create a map for BeamNG now that takes place in where GTA 6 features. If you start soon, you will beat them to the punch and if you practice hard, freelance mapping will be your ticket. So yeah, new map? Do the Florida Keys, a sanction raced track, the LA River flood control, or my last idea Texas (but Texas with snow, when it snows in Texas, kind of like *big spoiler here* the first level in GTA 5)
Re: Rally Forest Since nobody asked yet which is kind of odd, I'd like to ask. How to install this map? lol Thanks in advance
Re: Rally Forest Thanks. I just found it out myself after trying every way possible yesterday. What a mess lol. Always when I post a question I find it out myself minutes later on. My luck I guess. Still thank you man.
Re: Rally Forest THANK YOU. Ive Been looking for a replacment for the forest map that comes with the game
Re: Rally Forest If I may suggest a few things; for this current map maybe it possible to create a loop for the dual lane road? I'll love to see a realistic dual lane road with realistic hairpins... or at least a realistic dual lane mountainous road. In many other games I've the feeling the width, camber, inclination and or shoulders are off. And maybe some muddy forestry roads which can used as shortcut. But it great as it is now already. As for a different map, may I suggest some kind of Alps map; also rally based; lots of small single lane roads, but in contrast to this map mostly paved but still with lots of bumps, camber, inclination, passes etc. Old small villages, (artificial) lakes, alpine grass land and tall steep mountains can act as a background. Don't forget the quick but small winding dual lane roads and the old (redundant, abandoned?) mountain roads and tunnels. Maybe a bit like the French rally sections in Richard Burns Rally. Alternatively are the Apennine mountains, which are a bit lower but have lots of nice mountain roads. Many great Ferrari and Pagani reviews are shot there due to their factory locations. I've thought of making such a map myself, but that's not going to happen. I somehow think driving this map with the GM is great; it has lots of low end torque, soft suspension which absorbs all the bumps and is durable. In taxi skin it looks like you're playing a storyline based game. I've never thought of playing a game this realistic and still being able to drive it with uncommon vehicles like the van or semi on a rally stage
