I think the fact there is no tyre temperature simulation might be a main reason, and the fact he was using an old mod with smooth roads probably didn't help when talking about shocks/springs.
you can't possibly expect me to watch an 11 minute video with this boring mofo, but yes, obviously, it's not up to par with games and developers that have been producing explicitly racing games for years, it has extreme problems with handling and tire physics, everybody knows that, unless they're shilling
Not really sure what hes talking about, hes saying things like the shocks and springs can't work in softbody physics because of "the rate of expansion and contraction" but both of those are seperate values for compression and expansion that can be set to whatever is needed, a simulation of fluid isn't really necessary as its value should never really change. He seems to be making an assumption that everything is a simple value of "strength" or "deform" it seems like. Saying stuff like the "tires are weird" too even though alot of the aspects of the tires are quite close to reality. Then he mentions things like "you can't turn the traction control off" even though you easily can. It seems like he needs to look into it a bit more honestly.
I'm confused. It seemed to me like he couldn't make up his mind on what he thought of BeamNG. One minute he said it sucked, then he said it was cool. Wasn't the reaction I was expecting though.
I was trying to control myself and not comment on his video, but I saw @Sithhy™ commented and I just had to put my two cents in... Thanks for ruining my self control Sithhy... hmph --- Post updated --- I think he meant the physics sucked but the game was enjoyable as a game (I love how that is the polar opposite of KurtJMac's opinion). I agree though, he wasn't clear with his opinions, especially considering his title for the Covet JRI hot lap video he did recently. He wasn't very informed with stuff, but that isn't exactly unique for Youtube content creators.
I subbed for his pass-racing videos, good editing, and overall mature image, but I suppose no one is perfect.
I agreed with your comment. That first like you got was from me. And you're probably right. The expression of his opinions does seem a little vague.
