Genuine question, what led them to this conclusion?

the profile posts i think were introduced when they switched to the "new" forum design in 2015/16 (which is the current design) i think the gender option was always here. the profile posts i do miss. oddly enough, a year ago i noticed some new members that join have their gender assigned, don't know if that's still occurring. the informative reaction i think was removed sometime around 2020 and then brought back and was removed again a couple years later. and unlike the other removed reactions, informative is still in the system as you can see old posts reacted to with it.
