I have long thought about what locations the developers used when designing the stock maps. I want to know this because I have plans to eventually make a skin pack for these locations (Utah, ECUSA and eventually WCUSA) Thanks you all for your input!
East Coast: Coastal Maine (I've been there, looks about the same, and EC uses maine plates) Utah: Somewhere in the desert in utah, near Moab (Signs reference Moab) West Coast: SF and some other californian cities ETK: Somewhere in germany Hirochi: Maine, uses a lot of the same objects as EC, and uses maine plates JRI: Japan and Hawaii DRI, Industrial, Port, Small Island, Gridmap, Grid: Fictional locations
JRI feels more like somewhere along the Philippines or the Far East to me, ETK testing site i think is Berlin or something.
That is what I thought. I was planning on doing things like a Utah DOT skin, and a Texas department of corrections van. Thank you.
The Japan bunkers make sense, considering in WW2, the Philippines was invaded by Japanese people but the Hawaii plates are very confusing though.
yeah, that would be better, or maybe a combination of these (third one is Eureka CA, for the redwoods!)
the etk centre looks like its either near stuttgart or near munich probably since etk is based of bmw and mercedes
Italy is probably based off of Japan, but I'm not sure. The East Coast USA is based in California, I know that.
Cliff: Texas Derby Arenas: Texas ETK Driver Experience Center: Germany East Coast, USA: Maine, as the default license plates are from Maine. Also, there was some "Rally Maine" writing in one of the Quickplay rally races. Gridmap: Virtual Reality Hirochi Raceway: Maine, most likely a local track to residents in East Coast USA. Industrial Site: Texas Jungle Rock Island: Hawaii Small Island, USA: Texas
