how in the world do i get the model into the program cause a make a new vehicle called GavrilH45tanker then then select van then i go into the node tab nothing there same in flexbodies beams and nothing is showing up in the 3d editor the only thing i have is one part (sorry about all the rage in the post I'm not in a good mood) i need some help badly

You have to export the specific part of the model you wish to Jbeam for (in your case just the flat bed not the whole van)in .obj format and put it in the folder of you vehichle with the same name as the old model.

i only have the tanker object/part in blender i dont know how to put it in the van folder which means i cant open it in the program and jbeam it (the tank bit i mean so you know)

I really appreciate your program, it's been a real life saver in trying to mod this game. I just hope that you haven't gotten burned out on developing your editor or just moved on. It's just that it's been a long time since your last progress update.

Hi there

This tool looks like a real life-saver but i cant get it to work, tried 12 twice, and 11 once. (downloading that is, tried restarting/reinstalling/installing in new directories).

Error name
System.InvalidOperationException: Operation is not valid because it results in a reentrant call to the SetCurrentCellAddressCore function.

Its all happy when i open a vehicle, but then when i hit any other tab it spazzs out.

No matter what I do I have errors when trying to load Any vehicle (including standard ones from clean installation)

Upon investigation I did notice in the file named "DriveBeamEditor.exe.config" there is this;

when infact BeamNG is NOT installed within %localappdata% on my machine, it is installed within C:\Games\BeamNG\alpha_stable (as I used the Updater the Devs released to obtain a "clean" installation for the upcoming Update)
But it seems to NOT show anything other than the following screenshots.

I therefore changed the directory of the "key" in the config file still to no avail, resulting in the same errors. So I have since then reverted to original config again awaiting feedback.

UPDATE: Downloading and Installing .net v 4.5.1, will report back to let you know the outcome.

I cant seem to find anyone else having this issue, but my vehicles folder isn't listing anything, and I constantly get an error dialog that states the editor cant find my vehicles folder, so I go into prefs and change the path to c/program files/beamng/alpha_prerace (either vehicles folder or main folder) and nothing happens when I select the folder and hit OK, it just keeps on saying the default c/program files/beamng (I have a beamng folder and THEN prerace update folder with everything in it, like everyone else who updated I assume). Any iea what I am doing wrong? From here, I can read the wiki and get familiarized with the editor, as I would like to start to modify stuff etc. Any help is appreciated, as usual thanks

I think he's stopped working on the editor. It doesn't work with the latest version of BeamNG so you might try re-installing the older version of beam so it will.

I have two questions about this program. I downloaded alpha 11 yesterday (I'd get 12 but we have windows 8) and I can't get it to connect to my game. I keep going to preferences and trying to change it but nothing happens. I have the pre-race update. I don't know if that matters or not, but I'm not chancing it.

MY other question is if you can do the modeling in this program or not. I saw your flip ramp from scratch video with the 3D blue pre-model and I don't know if I can do that in this program or if I need a different program. If I do need a different one, then what is it?

Eventually will in a not-too-far-away future...

Sorry but I don't have much time for this currently so it's hard to get back to it. I'm not dead (yet) and will let you know here of any progress I would make. Maybe I'll have some time for it in the 2 upcoming weeks.

Sorry but no you can't make the model with my program. The "flipramp from scratch" was meant for "flipramp jbeam from scratch". For modeling I think like most I would suggest to go for Blender as it is free and powerful enough.
