I PM'd greg a few weeks ago, and he went into detail about how the PRU basically renders the Editor useless..for now...He let me know that he is working on fixing it, but most of the program needs to be modified and LOTS of hours need to be spent on getting it working again on the new update.

(im sad cuz I saw this bumped and I thought it was Greg releasing the new version lol)

Basically for now, the editor doesn't work on the current, pre-race-update build. Heres to greg and hoping he gets it done!! hurrah!!

On Win 8 you need to download the release 12 with the old UI

    Nice program :D

Got a problem though, I can't seem to change my BeamNG drive location under preferences. I decided to play through Steam so I tried to change the location. Now I can't change it back to the old location OR Steam's.

    Thanks :D

I'm getting an error unable to open path. i'm using windows 8.1 and the 'old layout' version. the game expects beam.ng to be in appdata\local\beamng\beam.ng.drive
but since switching to the steam version, it's now installed in steamapps\common\beamng.drive
changing the preferences doesn't change the folder. i edited the DriveBeamEditor.exe.config to refect the change, but it still expects the files to be in the old appdata location. Copying the WHOLE 1.8gb of beam to the old location fixes that error.

I don't know if this has already been addressed or not but when I run the program, it doesn't point towards my actual BeamNG.Drive directory, because I have it installed on a separate hard drive than my bootable. When I go to change it in preferences and click "ok" on the correct patch it doesn't update or change at all, it still goes to a non-existent location in my C:\. Is there any way to edit a config file to point it to the correct spot? Or is there a way I can temporarily hold vehicles to edit with the program somewhere else where it'll recognize it?

I have Windows 8.1 and neither work for me properly. The old editor gives me script errors every time I click something.

If you cant set your path in the editor, set it in the config file.
    That worked for me

Great! I'll give that a try, also this is my first time using this program, is it possible to create a full Jbeam from scratch with the 3D editor?
