Can i ask why are you talking to me like that? The Discussion tab is to share problems and discuss situations, not to insult people.
Now you want to act all innocent. Your responses are real rude and you can't even handle criticism. Anyways, your mod needs major work and I believe you owe @on3cherryshake a link for the M60 engine.
Act innocent? What the hell man? I NEVER talked to you and never met you so, stop using unnecessarily aggressivity. If you think i'm rude, you're wrong sir. You don't know me well enough to be saying that. I can't??? We were discussing this mod's name, and he wasn't criticising it, he (Mr @on3cherryshake ) only said what's wrong several messages later. Now that i know what's wrong, i can work on improving those points and make the mod better. --- Post updated --- I thought this morning, that i might've misread that and it was an E30 (maybe), so here's where i "saw" that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_M60#M60B30 If i misread it, then, i apologize.
You misread it. The M60 engine was used in Various E30's, like the E34, E31, and such. 5 series, 7 series, 8 series, even a DeTomaso. No E60 5 series
I thought this morning, that i might've misread that and it was an E30 (maybe), so here's where i "saw" that. If i was wrong, then i apologize. Oh damn! I'm so sorry man. Not just to you, but to everyone. I'm sorry.
Apology accepted, no hard feelings I can help you with sound mods, I can program and you can provide audio in the future if you want.
I know and have always known very well, my way around an sbeam and my trustworthy Audacity, so i don't need the help. But thanks, if i ever need you, i know i can count on you.
TheRustyRagdoll updated Resonated M60 Sound for the ETK K-Series with a new update entry: Update 1.1 Read the rest of this update entry...
Rusty, why you have set maxVolume to 8? That causes sound engine to bug out and sample plays at constant volume, so throttle does not change volume. You have set here min volume to 0.25, but if you set maxVolume to 8, then it is same if you set that 0.25 to 1. ["engine_throttle", "engineThrottle", 1, 0, 0.25, 1], I did set maxVolume from 8 to 1 and I think it improves sound a lot, it is playing at 0.25 at no throttle and 1 at full throttle, instead of playing 1 at all times. I'm not sure if you can go higher than 1 without sound engine to freak out, maybe small increase in volume is possible, I haven't played with that. Just not sure if you intended sample to play at constant volume or if that is a bug in your sbeam? I think sound is big improvement over your previous one after I changed that 8 to 1, without that change it sounded quite artificial and synthetic, but now it sounds much closer to 7krpm when rpm needle is at 7krpm. It is good improvement!
You see? I'm not the only one who thought this. Don't go around and tell people that they don't know anything because that's straight up ignorant. Make the it sound deeper and more aggressive and you might pull off making a nice resonated V8 sound. And one last thing, there isn't much of a difference between Euro engines and American engines, the only known differences are the top end like the quad cam V8's and such which are quite commonly found in Europe where as us American's like to stick to our overhead valve setups. The bottom end configurations are basically the same between two cross-plane V8 engines.
