I like the new update! It feels a lot more realistic. I just wish we had more truck varieties for more fun. Not sure if I misread something. EDIT: I'm an idiot. Forgot to clear cache. I now have two Bigfoot trucks included in the pack. Great job guys! Keep up the phenomenal work!
Where are all the cool trucks from the beta version? And also; am I allowed to have a backup from the latest beta since that had a lot of trucks in it? Still nice and Neilogical made a video about it:
Dropped, for various reasons: it would have taken months to make them all breakable, and most of them couldn't be included in the repository release because of trademarks and brand logos. --- Post updated --- Of course. Be my guest, as long as you don't redistribute it, what you do with your local files on your own PC is none of my concerns.
I didn't get to thoroughly test the update to 'planetaries', but I can definitely say that the update to them should make it more realistic. The old system was just faking the physics, and doing the double gear reduction at the axle center. Now it's doing on all 4 axle shafts, they way it should be, to simulate the reduction at the wheel-hub. I have some code laying around of our "Quadrupal Plantearies" setup, that used 4 differentials (one for each wheel hub ). It never worked correctly though. Goosahs tip worked, and much more efficiently.
it wont return to the updated version of the truck? if so, thanks. Just let me know if someone needs testing on the new max-d body.
Bigfoot #19 on CRD is quoted at 11.000 (dry weight). Our truck weights more - any less would explode on spawn - but also has simulated fluid and driver weight.
So... Well... I requested a thread cleanup. Project hopefully back on tracks. I'm going submit a small update soon, to address the concerns with the revised planetaries and fix some typos in the parts names. Also... This is coming up next, courtesy of @acapaldi.
Reading, the description brings back memories and puts a smile on my face. My dad had a sand drag subaru brat called the "spoiled brat". blown 540 CI, with a 6-71 blower built to the hills, with sand paddles and it made around 1200-1500 HP. We had multiple blowers, so we could swap out for different HP. Sadly I can only remember these things through memories now... If I find a picture I'll post it up, I gotta find one.
We all are motor enthusiasts, here glad I read the description, Y'all made my night. My dad passed away awhile back so, I rarely go racing anymore. I sure do miss him and going racing every weekend. luckily I stay active on the enthusiast side of things though. We go here and there.
I really hope things can be smoother sailing from here on out. I just started following the mod about a month or so ago and obviously with the problems with groups I had to wait patiently to be able to play the mod. I know a lot of work has been put into this mod and it definitely shows. This mod opens up a lot of possibilities. So thank you for the hard work!
