25mph is still a respectable speed for a remote control car.

Not for real expensive remote controls. My rc 4wd traxxas goes over 35 mph. Now I have to either redesign the map I made or just cancel it because the cars is too slow to jump off the quarter pipe and its taking weak jumps off the giant ramp and it wouldn't make the loop I added, plus its unable to make it to the stunt track I made. Because I lost motivation I cant do much. If someone can help put the speeds back to normal and send me the files I would really appreciate it.

This mod is so awesome! I am pretty good at 3D modeling, UV mapping, and Texturing so I really want to model a new body onto the Stadium Truck that looks like my real life Duratrax Evader Stadium Truck. This Evader was my freaking childhood! I loved this thing so much as a kid! I even took it to a local Hobby Shop that had a dirt track. Unfortunately it closed down. :(

Finished modeling and texturing my Evader body in Blender. here is a render of it! It's not exact to the picture I posted because I modeled this based of of the pics I took of my Evader RC Stadium Truck. It's a little bit worn as well. Now I need to figure out how to make this into a config.

    EDIT:

Now it's on the chassis. I had to modify the chassis to make it fit, and also remove the antennae that was already there.

Can somebody help me make this into a config? I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't know how to get my model and materials into this mod. I'll upload a modified RGRC .dae file and an image file for the texture of the evader.

Thank you! But one more thing. I created a second chassis mesh in that .dae file that is just a little bit smaller to fit the mesh of the body. Could you do that?

EDIT: You updated your post and fixed it! Thanks! This really made my day! Is it possible to upload just the configuration to the repository?

i'm not sure if it is possible, due to copyrighted names and such, but i could try and pack the car into a seperate zip file.

I think I can make one when I have the time. I won't be able to get the shape perfect without pictures of the side, top, rear, and front and also some additional pictures showing the little details at multiple angles. This allows me to model it at higher accuracy and draw the livery accurately. If you can find a blueprint of orthographic views of the side, top, rear, and front, that would help me a lot.

EDIT: If you are going to take the pictures of the X-MAXX yourself, please take a picture at full zoom. It helps in the modeling process to have as little perspective distortion as possible.

You should try to take the pictures as straight-on as you can. It should look similar to this blueprint picture:
I'll post the pics I took of my RC Evader so you can see how I did them.

Also another way that I could model this accurately (does not require dead-on views) is if I could recreate the camera position in Blender. Recreating the position is kinda tedious, but not that hard, but I need the camera focal length. Guessing the focal length (or FOV) in a picture is very difficult. But, once the picture is lined up perfectly with the position of the camera in the picture, I can basically trace the image in 3D and I can also bake textures from the picture to the 3D model. Try to take the pictures without changing the focal length. Also try to find good lighting and since the truck is colored black, it would be a good idea to put a solid white wall or something behind it. That would make it easier to model it accurately.

If you don't know what a focal length is, this picture pretty much explains it:

Yes, much better lighting. I can see the details better. I'll try 3D modeling it now.
