Yes, I experience this too when first driving through certain areas of the map. It's as if some meshes (or textures) aren't preloading with the level, because after the first lap frames are smooth again. If anyone can shed light on this issue it would be great. I suspect this hasn't come up in other mods because this map is unique in sheer number of custom objects and textures.
Can't shed any light but I can vouch for the phenomena on more than just the Riverside map. My question would be if this is a Torque or Beam issue. It appears it's not a GPU/CPU problem but a coding process. My theoretical two cents.
I know this thing will probably never get updated again since B25 is now a dev but Im just saying incase he ever decides to continue this, quite a few of the buildings particularly in the southern end of the map are missing their textures.
Yeah I hope this map gets some lovin too. It's NORTH m8...NORTH. Been waitin' for Mitch to get the backwards road textures fixed since day one.
Could you point them out for me? No missing textures on my end, although it might still be something easily fixed.
It appears I have the issue too. EDIT: Okay so the level crashed when I wiped out into a light pole with the Sunburst and when I re-entered everything came back. Is it me or does this map just look crisper lately?
Wow! This map is quite small but the level of detail is incredible. I want to see more maps like this cause this has to be the best one I've downloaded in a long time. I would really encourage B25Mitch to expand on this map or make another city map with this detail. Very well done
I know that I am probarbly going to get shouted at by some of you for bumping, but how would I install this in 0.4?
Is it still safe to install it the old way, because it is not in the right format for the mods folder?
