First of all, I would like to mention how wonderful this mod is, by adding a massive variety of engines to cars that wouldn't be able to have them. If I could only download one mod, this would be the mod that I would have, just because I have so much fun customizing the engines and trying a 60,000,000 hp V16 engine on an Ibishu Pigeon. I hope that you can find a way to add a 2-cylinder and 1-cylinder as well as a rotary engine along with custom 3D models. I know you already have plenty of suggestions, but is it possible that you can add hybrid configurations to your engines? I think it would be useful, especially for modern cars. And one more small thing, could you also add an unrealistically high rev engine limit on the free programmable ECUs, and allow it to go up to 50,000 RPM? Thank you so much for this mod!
R4NKING updated [I5/I6/V6 Diesel Update] RK's Highly Customizable Engines (16 Enginestypes!) with a new update entry: 3 new Enginetypes + small addons and fixes Read the rest of this update entry...
Can you also add low/medium speed diesel variants (150rpm<redline <2500rpm; idle < 700rpm; displacement >80L)? Those would require a separate model from the existing smaller ones though.
Can you add 22.3L (1362in³) V10 (almost MTU 10V2000) and 35.7L (2180in³) V16 (slightly enlarged MTU 16V2000) configurations (all diesel)? And 26L V12 diesel should really be 26.9L (1641in³) V12 (halfway between MTU 12V2000 and Caterpillar C27) and the 32L V12 diesel configuration should be 32.1L(1960.5in³) instead.
I have one issue with this mod... seems that you have to use an original engine with it or it will not use the transmission, giving you double the engine power
Depends how you use the mod. If you use it over the normal engine slot it should work normal. When you use it over license plate slot, you still need the Orginal engine equipped for the transmission. On some mod cars overwriting the engine doesn't work sadly, but idk how to conquer that problem.
You should also add plastic engine pieces (block, piston, valves, crankshaft), either thermoset like this or thermoplastic for fun. Or both, "lightweight thermoset plastic engine block" and "lightweight beater thermoplastic engine block".
This mod is very fun, and I have already posted something here before, but I have found that at least with the diesel V8's (haven't tested on other engines except for the V16, it works fine), if you tune High Powermap and Low Powermap, the ECU will use the Low Boost setting when it is on High Boost mode. I found this by reading the forced induction meter, which shows lower pressure in High Boost.
@R4NKING Would it be ok if I released a mod for the Crown Vic in it's discord making this available for it in the engine slot? I also changed the models to use what's used there to make it look a bit better.
so the mod would only be available on a discord server? thats fine, aslong you only add the engines to it and don't copy my whole engine mod into the crown vic.
Hey! I've installed this mod and I don't know how it correctly use, please help me. I choosed this in the license plate design tab, deleted stock engine, selected new engine and transmission and my car doesn't want to go. I see tachometer, I can step on the gas, I can hear exhaust, but I can't change transmission gears. Can you guys help me with it, please?
Hey, you still need to keep the original engine. the transmission overwrite is only for cars/mods where you only have a transmission with less gears or no tuning option. equip a normal engine, use stock ECU and a NA intake if possible and a transmission you want and then it should work with the license plate design slot
Thank you so much! But I have one last question: why the engine sound is changing when I delete the stock one? It sounds like I have two engines in my car when I'm using engine in the license plate design slot.
which engine do you use on the licenseplate slot? because Flat4 and 6 sounds is kinda broken in the licenseplate slot in this version maybe remove the licenseplate slot engine and add it back.
I use different V8 engines with this car --- Post updated --- Maybe I can add one of this engines by editing jbeam files of this car?
Yeah you can. If you know a bit about jbeams it's not hard. But be sure to include the custom combustion engine Lua line. Don't know how it's named correctly right now --- Post updated --- Also everyone who reads this now, something big is coming tomorrow (if it gets approved) If the website keeps having DDOS problems it might take longer, we will see
